Access to official information and interlocutors, especially from the sphere of political life, as well as the safety of male and female journalists present challenges in the work, which were discussed the most by female journalists from Kosovo at the two-day conference in Budva.

A panel discussion organized marking the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for Kosovo’s Global Open Day was held in March in Prishtina, discussing the gender-responsive and inclusive political processes in Kosovo.

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, representatives of international missions in Kosovo held a public tribune today on "improving the agenda for women, peace and security in Kosovo,'' reports KIM radio.

"Women are the most important part of society in Kosovo, as well as in the Western Balkans. Their voices must be heard, their role must be respected," said UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin at the conference.

Radio Television Mir (RTV Mir) reported on educational workshops within the project "NO means NO"  that were held in the premises of Leposavic municipality, where the methods of self-defense and the help of psychologists were presented, as a part of the ways of how Kosovo youth fights to reduce the number of cases of violence.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told reporters ahead of the session of the Belgrade committee of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) that it would be difficult to change the attitude of the great powers on the formation of Kosovo Army, but considers that it is important that at the session of the United Nations Security Council is heard that it is a violation of Resolution 1244, the only valid document regarding Kosovo, reported Radio Television of Serbia on Sunday evening (RTS).
