Apostolova: "The best solution for continuing dialogue is to abolish the tax" (RTS, RTK2)

Kosovo's progress report confirms its European perspective, but it also shows that there are no shortcuts on the way to the EU, said Nataliya Apostolova, Head of the EU office in Kosovo, adding a glass is half full, and that the continuation of the reforms requires a strong political will of the Assembly and Government.

Tanin: Women are the most important part of society (KIM radio)

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, representatives of international missions in Kosovo held a public tribune today on "improving the agenda for women, peace and security in Kosovo,'' reports KIM radio.

"Women are the most important part of society in Kosovo, as well as in the Western Balkans. Their voices must be heard, their role must be respected," said UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin at the conference.

UNS in Kosovo: EU Office discriminates Serb media (KIM Radio)

Association of Journalists of Serbia in Kosovo (UNS) protested today because the EU Office did not provide translation in Serbian language for the media representatives attending the presentation of a report on LGBTI community and their rights in Pristina, KIM Radio reports today.

UNS further stated the event was organized by Centre for Social and Group Development, while the EU Office in Kosovo invited the media to cover the event one hour before it started.

Apostolova meets leaders of Alternativa (Klan Kosova)

Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalyia Apostolova met with the leader of Alternativa, Mimoza Kusari Lila and deputy leader, Ilir Deda.

They discussed the current situation in Kosovo, as well as necessity of the creation of credible institutions that would govern Kosovo.

Alternativa leaders informed Apostolova about their positions as Kosovo Assembly MPs and their vision about the future government of Kosovo.

Apostolova: As soon as possible to form Community/Association of Serb municipalities (RTK2, Jedinstvo)

Head of the EU Office in Kosovo and the EU Special Representative Nataliya Apostolova says that an agreement on the Community/Association of Serb municipalities was reached between the two sides in the dialogue under the auspices of the EU and that she expects the formation of the ZSO as soon as possible.

EU against changes to Criminal Code of Kosovo (Telegrafi)  

The EU Office in Kosovo/EU Special Representative has expressed concern over the intention of Kosovo authoritirs to amend the Criminal Code of Kosovo by introducing new measures against libel and defamation. “A number of EU members or potential members, including Kosovo, have done away with criminal defamation and insult, and several others have taken important steps in that direction. Decriminalisation of libel and defamation in Kosovo was reported as progress in European Commission's Report in 2013.

Rašić: Resolution on the release of Haradinaj - political pressure (NMagazin)

MP of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Parliament Nenad Rašić said that the resolution for the unconditional release of Ramush Haradinaj adopted by the Assembly of Kosovo contains and a request to stop the dialogue with Belgrade, and thus represents a kind of political pressure on the EU.

According to Rašić, this resolution is not binding. He said that the resolution has no requests of the opposition concerning the abolition of Serbian warrants for possible suspects.

Serbs in Suvi Do/Suhodoll worried about the demarcation (KIM radio)

Demarcation between the northern and southern part of Mitrovica has not been precisely defined because of which worry 70 Serbian households in the village Suvi Do/Suhodoll.

Their houses, as they say, could belong to the cadastre of the municipality southern Mitrovica.

For the mayor of South Mitrovica Agim Bahtiri question of delimitation of Mitrovica is a "done deal" because, as he says, this was resolved by the Ahtisaari plan.
