AAK and NISMA agree to be part of demarcation committee (RTK)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) said today they will agree to be part of a committee that would review the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro, only if the government dismisses the current committee led by Murat Meha. NISMA representatives told Radio Kosova today that they are willing to contribute to the stabilization of the political situation, “but the government too needs to reflect so that political normality can be restored”.

Kosovo Agency to Audit Mustafa's, Thaci's, Assets (Balkan Insight)

The declared assets of Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and President Hashim Thaci are to become the subject of a financial investigation by the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency.

The anti-corruption body held its annual draw last week and announced that among other high officials, Mustafa and Thaci would have their assets audited.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa, has requested from the Assembly to vote the draft-law on extension of EULEX's mandate, being that this would help on strengthening the justice in Kosovo.

During the plenary session which is going on right now, Mustafa expressed the position of the government and of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), on extension of the EULEX’s mandate in Kosovo. According to Mustafa, this would strengthen the rule of law and the war against corruption, while the people would feel safer.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said in the meeting of the government that agreement with EULEX on extending the mission’s mandate has been reached. “We expect today confirmation from Brussels, namely the letter exchange. Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that Serb returnees have no permit for construction of the so-called “Sunny Valley” in the north of Kosovo. “They have no right to construct the ‘Sunny Valley'. It is impermissible and valueless for so long as the institutions have not issued a permit”, said Mustafa today in a visit to Istog/Istok.

At the third joint meeting between the governments of Kosovo and Albania, Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said Albanians will become united under the European flag. He said that neither Albanians nor the Balkans can enter the EU “fragmented”. He said remarkable progress has been made in the cooperation between Kosovo and Albania since the joint meetings of the governments began two years ago. Rama also spoke about the situation of the Albanian community in the Preshevo valley.
