Serbs protested in Leposavić/Leposaviq because of the behaviour of Aleksandar Jablanović (MMagazin, Danas, KoSSev)

 

Media portal NMagazin reports that more people gathered in Leposavić/Leposaviq, and protested against the incident in which the leader of the Party of Kosovo Serbs (PKS) Aleksandar Jablanović pulled a gun and threatened activists of the Serbian list in front of the police station.

Protest was joined by the President of the Interim Authority in Leposavić Zoran Todić, who has called for a peaceful gathering.

Serbian List: One condition - that there is no Kosovo army (media)

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simic rejects that Serb representatives had "four conditions for the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces into an army." Thus Simic has denied the statement of the outgoing Minister of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Haki Demolli, reports Serbian media.

Demolli told Klan Kosova TV that the Serbian List had four conditions to vote in favour of KSF transformation into an army.

Central Electoral Commission confirms Serbian candidates for the forthcoming elections (KoSSev)

The Central Election Commission certified candidates of five Kosovo Serbs lists for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Kosovo, says member of CEC Nenad Rikalo for KoSSev.

Initially six lists of Kosovo Serbs were registered for the elections in Kosovo - Serbian list, Advanced force of Kosovo, Progressive Democratic Party, and Independent Liberal Party, a coalition of the Party of Kosovo Serbs and Active citizens' initiatives and the Serbian Patriotic Alliance.

Haziri: We are waiting for CEC to publish the candidates’ lists (Zeri)

Media speculated today publishing several lists with the names of the candidates for MPs from the LDK-AKR-Alternative pre-election coalition. However, deputy leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) Lutfi Haziri, said these lists are not official. In an announcement for the media, Haziri said that only Central Election Commission can make the lists of the candidates public. “CEC is the only constitutional authority which publishes the lists of the candidates after the correction deadline,” Haziri said.

Rašić: Authorities not to divide Kosovo Serbs (KIM radio)

President of the Progressive Democratic Party Nenad Rašić says that Belgrade umpteenth time divides Serbs in Kosovo, by supporting a single list.

"Serbs should take responsibility for their lives, and representatives of the state should not support one list and further separate the Serbs," said Rašić.

According to him, he never talked to anyone in the parliament about the formation of Kosovo Army.

Journalists Stampede to Join Parties in Kosovo

The last few weeks have seen a veritable rush of journalists, analysts and civil society activists joining political parties in Kosovo, a month before the snap elections are due to take place.

The latest journalist to make the transfer into politics in the country is renowned journalist and chief of Kosovo’s Radio Free Europe service, Arber Vllahiu. He joined Ramush Haradinaj’s Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK.
