Drecun: Tahiri deceiving the public (Blic)

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija says that Kosovo's Minister for dialogue Edita Tahiri "with her bellicose statements" is deceiving the public in order to preserve ministerial position because her shift is getting closer.

Drecun says that it could be learned from Albanian political circles that Tahiri will be removed from the position in the announced reconstruction of the Kosovo government.

 

Stojanović: Kosovo police understands only argument of the street (KIM radio, Blic)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović warns today in Gračanica that he might talk to the representatives of the Kosovo police in this municipality through the street, because, he adds, the police apparently understand only a street argument, protest, or people expressing their views about a particular situation.

Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in great difficulties (Blic, RFE)

Director of the Balkan group from Pristina Naim Rashiti says that the process of normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo fell into great difficulties due to problems with the implementation of the agreements reached, but also due to political developments in Kosovo and in Serbia.

"This led to the fact that Prime Ministers of the two countries were not able to continue the dialogue," said Rashiti to Radio Free Europe.

Marić: No double teams for drafting the Statute of the ZSO (Blic, RTS)

Minister for Local Self-Government in Kosovo Ljubomir Marić says that there are no double teams for drafting the Statute of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities as well as there is no reason that could hinder its work, and that there is only one management team.

He adds that political will is important for the operations of the management team.

The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina at the expert level from 7 to 9 September (media)

The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina at the expert level will continue on Wednesday, 7 September in Brussels, announced today the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

As stated, from 7 to 9 September, Belgrade and Pristina delegations will discuss the implementation of the agreement on the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities, cadastre, and recognition of diplomas, freedom of movement and the delimitation of the northern and southern Mitrovica.

Šarčević: Our education in Kosovo will survive and thrive (Blic)

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mladen Šarčević in Gračanica wished the pupils, in the system of the Republic of Serbia, a happy beginning of the school year. On that occasion he said that the Serbian education would survive and thrive in the southern province.

The Minister stressed that he intends to often stay in Kosovo and announced that soon would be initiated the formation of the fund, which will aim to improve the working conditions of school children in Kosovo.

EULEX fired Serbs who do not speak Albanian?! (media)

Kosovo Serbs employed at the headquarters of the EULEX mission in Pristina accused the mission of discrimination on ethnic and linguistic grounds due to the announcement on non-extension of their contracts, because they do not understand or do not speak fluent Albanian.

As stated in the announcement of their legal representative, Axel Reiter, "it is almost certain that, from November, no Kosovo Serb will work in the EULEX headquarters in Pristina."

Odalović: If Biden's message was understood in Pristina, ZSO will be formed soon (media)

President of the Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalović says that the ZSO will be formed soon, if Biden's message was taken seriously in Pristina.

When asked when he expects establishment of the ZSO, Odalović said to the RTS "how Pristina works, this will last."

He says that the ZSO constitutes a "bone in the throat" to Pristina and "many others who have introduced Belgrade into a dialogue with the promise that ZSO will be formed."
