The Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) presented on Tuesday to the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution the list of demands for legal actions to be taken against ethnic Albanian criminals they suspect of being responsible for the deaths and disappearances of their loved ones.

Members of the association staged a protest outside the Special War Crimes Court in Belgrade, and the representative of the families of persons kidnapped and gone missing in KiM Snezana Brankovic read out their message to the Special Prosecutor's Office.

BELGRADE -- Serbia is absolutely committed to finding a solution to the missing persons' issue and not a single body or individual has ever done anything to prevent it.

This is what President of the Commission on Missing Persons Veljko Odalović told Tanjug ahead of the conference on the matter due to take place in Mostar on Friday.

The leader of the Civic Initiative ‘SDP’ Oliver Ivanovic, before the Municipal Court in Kosovska Mitrovica, has pleaded not guilty regarding the all charges submitted against him for involvement in war crimes in 1999 and 2000. " I am absolutely not guilty," said Ivanovic in response to a question of Judge, Roxana Komsa, if he feels guilty.

The other four accused Serbs, Dragoljub Delibasic, father and son Ilija and Nebojša Vujacic and Aleksandar Lazović also pleaded not guilty for the actions they are charged for.

BELGRADE - Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will head a Serbian delegation to a UN Security Council meeting on Kosovo scheduled for Friday, August 29, according to the Tuesday edition of Belgrade-based daily Novosti.

Dacic will travel to New York from Berlin, where he and Prime Minister Vucic will participate in a conference on the Western Balkans hosted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the day before.

 Lamberto Zannier believes that Serbia, as the next chairman of the OSCE, "will be able to continue Switzerland's efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine."

"Neutral Switzerland chairs the OSCE this year, and Serbia - an official candidate for membership in the EU - will replace it during 2015," reports the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

CACAK - The Republic of Cyprus supports Serbia's EU integration, Cypriot Ambassador to Serbia Nafsika Krousti said in Cacak on Monday.

Cyprus believes Serbia will become a member of the EU and supports and admires the perseverance of the Serbian government and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in pursuing that goal, she told reporters.

Cyprus is one of five countries within the EU that have not recognised Kosovo's independence, and that view will not change, she stressed.

 Head of EULEX Kosovo Bernd Borchardt jas rejected the claims that the Kosovo Serbs do not trust EULEX, adding that the citizens of Kosovo who have not committed any crimes have nothing to fear, because there are no secret lists or secret indictments against Kosovo Serbs.

The claims that the Serbs in northern Kosovo are losing their confidence in EULEX's good intentions are speculations and propaganda, he told the daily Politika from Belgrade, adding that surveys conducted throughout Kosovo showed that the people in the north were happy with EULEX's work.

NOVI SAD - Oliver Ivanovic, leader of the Citizens' Initiative 'Freedom, Democracy, Justice“ (SDP) and the most famous prisoner in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), said Sunday that the participation of KiM Serbs in the new government in Pristina, in full coordination with the Serbian government, could prove a far more efficient way to promote their vital interests.

August 21 marks the 16th anniversary since the kidnapping in 1998 of two Serb journalists near Orahovac, in Kosovo.

 The Serbian Government Office for Kosovo issued a statement on this occasion to warn that the kidnappers of Radio Priština's Đuro Slavuj and Ranko Pereneć have not been found yet.

Those who, for the second consecutive year, removed a memorial set up by the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and the Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) for their missing colleagues, have not been found either, the office said on Wednesday.
