SNS-supported gathering planned for Putin visit to Serbia (Vecernje Novosti, Beta, N1, Danas)

Regional broadcaster N1 reports that “Patriotic forces” supported by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) are planning to bring more than 70,000 people to the plateau in front of the St Sava Temple in Belgrade to greet Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 17, quoting Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.

The Ministry of Justice has just forwarded to Pristina a comprehensive report and relevant minutes from questionings regarding the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic told Belgrade based TV Pink. She says that it was done based on the last request from Pristina to question certain individuals in connection with the investigation into the murder.
Kuburovic told TV Pink that the forwarding of the report shows that Belgrade is still ready to cooperate and respond to all the demands coming from Pristina.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric told the independent “Insajder” production that all traces related to the assassination of  Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic in January lead to the Albanian side.

Ivanovic was gunned down outside his party’s headquarters in Mitrovica North, 11 months ago and since then both Belgrade and Pristina investigations yielded no result.

The assassination of Kosovo Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic remains unsolved 11 months after it happened, Ivanovic’s party senior official Ksenija Bozovic told N1, warning that no detail on perpetrator in this case has been found.

The investigation into Ivanovic’s death has not progressed at all but his party, SDP initiative, will continue exerting pressure on the Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina in hope to get new information, Bozovic said.

The Court of Appeals returned a decision on detention for the three Serbs from Mitrovica accused of having connections with Oliver Ivanovic murder case for second deliberation, Radio KIM reports.

The first instance court would therefore again decide on detention order for N.S, M.R, and D.M.

“According to the Court of Appeals, the first instance court did not provide clear reasons for determining facts related to reasonable doubt that arrested persons committed criminal acts under the investigation, grave murder and revealing the official secret,” the Court statement reads.
