President Tomislav Nikolic has said he will give a mandate to form a new government to SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic.
Speaking on Sunday, he added that if the Serbian Constitution is changed in the future, he knows there will be no change to the preamble that states Kosovo and Metohija is an integral part of Serbia.

"I think I will not even have to hold consultations on a PM-designate as everything depends on whether someone has managed to secure 126 MPs who will vote for a government," he said, according to Tanjug.

Serbia wants to arrange its state modeled after EU members, Tomislav Nikolic has said, adding that Serbia at the same time "has one condition."

It is that "Europe never asks it to recognize Kosovo," he explained, speaking for a local television station in Corfu, Greece, on Monday.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said today that he can’t attend the inauguration of a president of a non-existing state, because for him Kosovo and Metohija does not exist as the independent state.

Nikolic said that he has not seen the invitation for inauguration of Hashim Thaci, which ‘reached media’ and added that he has no place there because he is the President of Serbia.

"Any kind of removal of Kosovo from the Constitution of Serbia and undermining of the country's integrity is out of the question," says Stanislava Pak.

This adviser to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic was reacting to a statement made previously by a law professor, Vesna Rakic Vodinelic.

Kosovo’s president-elect Hashim Thaci said he plans to invite Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to his swearing-in ceremony in April. “There will be a ceremony upon taking on the post of the President early April and I look forward to the invitation that I will send to President Nikolic. We will also invite other presidents of the region,” said Thaci in an interview for the Austrian paper Der Standard.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said that Serbia respects the uniqueness of Kosovo since it is negotiating with the authorities in Pristina, but does not recognize Kosovo's independence. "In front of me is the Constitution. I know that President of Serbia is elected in Kosovo, but competences of Serbia do not extend to the whole territory of Kosovo. Will we be in a position to recognize Kosovo as a condition for our entry into the EU? 

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said in Adis Ababa that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo's independence, but can recognize its uniqueness (clarifying that by uniqueness he refers to the status of autonomy according to UNSC Resolution 1244 , talks based on that Resolution and the Serbian Constitution). He added that negotiations between Serbia, Kosovo and the EU are in a delicate situation, because dialogue with Pristina is a condition for Serbia’s entry into the Union.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said that he believes that Serbia should primarily insist on Chapter 35 relating to Kosovo and on receiving an advance copy of the legally binding agreement text. "We should get the text so as to immediately be able to decide whether we want to go forward with it or not" said Nikolic for TV Pink.

However, even the constant opening of chapters with Brussels is good for Serbia, because it means introducing Serbia to the order of modern states, he added.

The motive of the verdict, finding leader of CI SDP Oliver Ivanovic guilty, is to prevent him from leading the Serbs in the province, said the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic. He added that the verdict is an attempt to politically ‘behead’ Serbs and to justify their removal from the political scene in Kosovo.
