Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Ismet Beqiri, said that the meeting of this parliamentary group with the U.S. Ambassador, Greg Delawie, was substantial, however he did not give any more information about the discussions.

“I can say that the agenda is already set: tomorrow is a motion initiated by the opposition. We said that the points mentioned in the motion are not true,” Beqiri said.

Insajderi: Was there any initial coordination between Kosovo authorities, namely the Office of the President, with the U.S. Embassy Pristina regarding the future steps on creating the Kosovo Army?

The U.S. Embassy in Pristina distributed a press release which says that the U.S. supports gradual and transparent transformation of the KSF into a mulietnic force in accordance with NATO standards.

The Ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, welcomed the letter of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to the government of Kosovo. “Welcome NATO Secretary General letter on strengthening interaction, new cooperation & activities with Kosovo. Foundation for deeper NATO ties,” Delawie wrote on his Twitter account.

The Ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, said that fighting corruption should be a priority for all actors in Kosovo. Delawie made these comments during the round table organized by the Institute for Justice, supported by the U.S. and United Kingdom Embassies in Kosovo. They discussed performance and results of the justice institutions with a focus on fighting corruption.
