"It's true, Kosovo must be solved before EU membership" (BETA, B92, Vecernje Novosti)

German Ambassador to Serbia Thomas Schieb says there are no deadlines for Belgrade and Pristina to reach an agreement on normalization of relations.

"We hope that the dialogue on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina will be restored as soon as possible and that progress will be made," Schieb told Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti, commenting on unofficial information that EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini has asked for the dialogue to end by early June.

Protests’ organizers request Vucic to present to citizens Kosovo plan (Danas, BETA)

Organizers of the protest “One of Five Million” urged on Saturday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to present to the citizens plan for Kosovo and Metohija, adding citizens are the address he should turn to, not Brussels, Washington, Moscow or Pristina, BETA news agency reports.

They also accused Vucic that the politics he is leading “withdraws the state of Serbia from Kosovo.”

"Putin gives Vucic several tasks ahead of visit" (RTK, Prva TV, B92)

Ahead of the Russian President Vladimir Putin visit to Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic "has received several tasks from the Russian intelligence service." This is according to Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK).

Vucic was allegedly given several tasks: the first "not to reach an agreement with Kosovo under any circumstances," and another "to stop protests in Belgrade allegedly funded by NATO and arrest some of the leaders of the opposition."

RTS: Borders in the Balkans - between drawing and erasing

On Easter Day, Serbs from the region proposed abolition of borders between Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro in talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Leader of Serb Renewal Movement (SPO) Vuk Draskovic told Danas daily that most people in Serbia do not know that NATO would be the one to resolve all disagreements and potential conflicts in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia or anywhere else in the Balkans.

Speaking about the frozen conflict in Kosovo, Draskovic said “it is like a sparkle in an ash” and “the flame can erupt at any moment.” Draskovic added in this case Serbia would find itself in a position it was two decades ago, however the extent of the disaster would be much greater now.

Milena Popovic called Kosovo Special Prosecutor to interview her again in Belgrade (KoSSev)

Oliver Ivanovic’s wife, Milena Popovic called on the Kosovo Special Prosecutor, Syle Hoxha to come to Belgrade with his “entire team“ and together with the Serbian investigative authorities to “question her for the fourth time,” KoSSev portal reports.

DSS: Dialogue between authorities and opposition on crucial issues (Tanjug, B92)

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) urged today parties in power and opposition to launch a dialogue aiming to reach a societal consensus on the most important state issues, Tanjug news agency reported.

DSS noted the state cannot successfully defend its interests, in the atmosphere of division, hatred and lack of tolerance.

DSS thinks the best way to strengthen the state by initiating the dialogue would be organization of a series of thematic round tables between the authorities and opposition, without the presence of the media.

Klacar: Extraordinary elections would not be surprise (BETA)

Executive Director of the Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CESID) Bojan Klacar said it would not be a surprise if extraordinary parliamentary elections in Serbia take place later this year, BETA news agency reported.

He also opined that extraordinary parliamentary elections could be postponed in order to find a way and have extraordinary local elections also organized.

Serbia openly refused US demand to stop lobbying, PM Brnabic said (Serbian Government, B92, Happy TV)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday that the issue of Kosovo must not be left as a frozen conflict as it affects Serbia's progress. But she also pointed to the pampering approach of the international community and the EU towards Pristina.

In a broadcast on Happy TV, Brnabic underlined that people must understand a frozen conflict is a frozen instability. We will not be able to use all of our potential and all the healthy basis we have and go as fast as we can if we have a frozen conflict.
