Serbian diplomats around the world have received an explicit directive from the Serbian Foreign Affairs Ministry, B92 reports. The diplomatic missions were given a directive to make every effort to thwart Kosovo bid to become a member of an international police organization.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic also said that Pristina has no chance of joining Interpol.
"Kosovo has no chance of joining Interpol, it will face a disaster," he told Politika daily ahead of the forthcoming Interpol General Assembly session in Chile.

French humanitarian Arnaud Gouillon recently commented on the outburst that followed the news of Nobel Prize in Literature being awarded to Peter Handke, B92 reports.

"What an outburst of hatred and insults in the Western press over Nobel for Handke. Being a friend of Serbia and genuinely loving the weak and oppressed living in the enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija is obviously inexcusable. Even after 20 years," Gouillon posted on Twitter.

The humanitarian then added: "Now at least I know how I will be treated, whatever I do in the future."

LDK candidate for Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani called the idea of the Balkan "mini-Schengen", agreed Thursday by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, "a big mistake."

In their phone conversation, the two leaders agreed to meet in Moscow before the end of the year to talk about the vital issues, especially about Kosovo.

Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Friday that the Kosovo authorities want to use membership in Interpol to reinforce statehood not to improve their crime fighting capabilities.

The minister told Belgrade based TV Pink that a decision to induct Kosovo into Interpol would be political and would jeopardize that international organization’s professionalism.
