Albanians use Serbian citizenship for arms trade (Sputnik)

Path of illegal arms goes from Kosovo to the European countries, as the KLA has the highest concentration of armament that arrived in the Balkans during nineties from the sovereign states, including France as well, Sputnik daily reported today.

A serial of terrorist attacks that stroke France and fact that the arms from the Balkans was used in one of them, made the French President Emmanuel Macron to point his finger first at Serbia, then the Balkans and to seek better control of light weapons in this area.

Vulin: No other army in Kosovo than KFOR (BETA, B92)

Serbian Defense Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, stated KFOR is the only institution that Serbia holds responsible for securing and preserving peace and security in Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

Lower sentences for Badovci case (Kallxo.com)

Exactly one year and a day after they were sentenced for the first time by the Basic Court in Pristina, the trial panel comprised by judges Valbona Selimaj, Valon Kurtaj and Vesel Ismajli sentenced once again the accused for Badovci case.

Besnik Latifi was sentenced to prison with four years and six months, Gazmend Haliti, Milazim Haxhiaj and Enis Latifi with three years and six months, while Fehmi Musa was sentenced with three years of prison.

Controversy Lingers in Kosovo Over Long Awaited Mosque

After years of delay, the assembly of the capital of Kosovo looks set to give the go-ahead to the construction of a new 'Central Mosque' - despite the objections of civil society groups.

A key item on the agenda of the city council in Pristina, Kosovo, on July 25 is the future of the city's long-planned central mosque, Miranda Mullafazliu, the spokesperson for the municipality, told BIRN.

The Islamic Community of Kosovo, BIK, together with former senior state officials, placed the cornerstone of the Central Mosque back in 2012 in the city's Dardania district.

A total of 44 women from Kosovo are in the ranks of Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, while 60 come from Bosnia-Herzegovina.

This is according to an article published by Sputnik, quoting data from the Kosovo Center for Security Studies.

The best known Albanian woman from Kosovo that has joined the terrorist group is Qamile Tahiri, who is only 23 years old.

Currently, according to Kosovo-based press, she heads the training camps for women jihadist in Syria, and is considered one of Islamic State's most radical women-fighters from this region, writes Sputnik.

Western Balkans Ministers of Transport also met together with Italian and EU Institutions.

Serbian Socialist Party (SPS) to run in local Kosovo elections independently (SRNA, Blic)

Provincial Board of the Serbian Socialist Party (SPS) for Kosovo made the decision to run independently in the forthcoming local elections in Kosovo, scheduled for 22 October, SRNA news agency and Blic daily reported.

“We have decided to run independently in the forthcoming local election in all 10 Serb-majority municipalities, other municipalities where Serbs are living and where the Provincial Board has its network,” their press release stated.
