Boris Tadic, Serbia’s former President, said on Thursday he favoured the election boycott for now, but added that all aspects of the decision should be taken in account, the FoNet agency reported.

Tadic, who was former head of state, from 2004 to 2012, and now is the leader of the opposition Social-Democratic Party (SDS), said the mobilisation for the boycott demanded “higher level of organisation (within the opposition) than during election campaigns.”

Former President of Serbia and Social Democratic Party leader Boris Tadis told Belgrade media that foreigners asked the opposition not to disturb the public because President Aleksandar Vucic promised them Kosovo, reported Serbian media.

Speaking for Belgrade based daily Blic, Tadic said that no one can tell when will the solution for Kosovo happen but that he finds it more important what kind of solution that will be.

Djuric, who also serves as director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, added on Wednesday that Jeremic, Serbia's former foreign minister, was part of a regime during which relations between the two nations and states had been brought to "the lowest level in history."

Former President of Serbia and leader of the Social-Democratic Party (SDS), Boris Tadic sent an invitation to the current President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, inviting him to a TV duel on Kosovo, Serbian media reported.

SDS said in a press statement, Tadic invites Vucic to a TV duel, not as representative of the opposition, but as a former President “who is being accused daily for a national treason and exposed to lies related to decisions and the consequences of such decisions during the time of his presidential mandate.”

Former President of Serbia, Boris Tadic speaking in a talk-show Slobodno srpski recalled that his four- point plan for normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is the best solution, KIM Radio reported.

Serbia is no closer to consensus on Kosovo nine months after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called a series of roundtable discussions on relations with the country’s former southern province. Critics are sceptical of Vucic’s soul-searching.

“I still invite Aleksandar Vucic to accept a TV duel on public service RTS and enable citizens to hear a complete truth on the genesis of creation and resolution of the Kosovo issue,” former President of Serbia Boris Tadic said in a written statement, Danas daily reported.

Tadic also said he does not invite Aleksandar Vucic to a TV duel as representative of the opposition, but as a former President of Serbia.

Former Serbian President and leader of Social-Democratic Party (SDS) Boris Tadic said last night that announced establishment of the Association of the Serb Municipalities by Serb representatives from Kosovo represents “an insult to a common sense.”

He explained that by signing the Brussels agreement “a legal system of independent Kosovo was accepted in the entire territory” therefore such community “is not possible outside of that legal system,” Serbian media reported.

Attempts of Aleksandar Vucic to take the country out “from a desperate and inherited situation related to Kosovo and Metohija” lead to announcements of “dilettantes directly responsible for the current situation,” Vice President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Main Board, Milenko Jovanov told Tanjug news agency.
