Ymeri: We have agreement, to be signed soon (RFE)

In an interview for Radio Free Europe, Vetevendosje MP Visar Ymeri confirmed they have reached an agreement with the coalition bloc between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) and this is expected to be signed during the week. He said that the principles on which Vetevendosje insisted on have been also endorsed by the coalition bloc and they are now expected to be formalized in an agreement.

Germans don’t want Vetevendosje to lead talks with Belgrade (Rrokum)

A reliable source in the LDK-AAK-NISMA coalition told Pristina-based Rrokum TV that foreign diplomats, especially Germans, have made it clear to the coalition that they should not yield to Vetevendosje’s terms, especially the condition to lead talks with Belgrade. Vetevendosje Movement has rebutted reports that the post-election coalition bloc between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), has accepted their conditions for entering the Government.

Vetevendosje said that there have been no meetings with the representatives of the LDK-AAK-NISMA coalition since the inaugural session of the Kosovo Assembly on 17 July. The Movement also added it has not changed its principles presented to the coalition as a condition to join it.

New elections or a broad-based coalition government (RTK)

While Vetevendosje’s terms seem to be unacceptable for the opposition bloc, the Serbian List is expected to get a key role in the forming of the new government. Political analysts in Pristina believe that Kosovo will not have strong institutions if any of the political parties try to form the government while relying on the votes of the Serbian List.

Gashi: New elections, potential for violence and conflict (Politiko)

Decision of the Constitutional Court to temporarily suspend election of Isa Mustafa to the post of Assembly Speaker and to call on the Assembly to refrain from further actions is wrong and shows that the Court is not free from political interference, said Vetevendosje’s Visar Ymeri.
