KDI: Poor performance by the Assembly, we oppose increase of per diems (Kosovapress)

Representatives of the Pristina-based Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) told a press conference today that the Kosovo Assembly had a poor performance in 2016, by adopting 52 laws out of a scheduled 141 laws. KDI’s Albert Krasniqi said another negative practice by the current legislative is the adoption of laws with fast procedures, most notably the adoption of the state budget. Krasniqi said the KDI finds unacceptable the tendency to increase the per diems of MPs, given the poor performance of the Assembly and the dire economic situation in Kosovo.

Kosovo Assembly adopts resolution for demolition of wall in Mitrovica North (media)

Serbs again freeze participation in Kosovo Assembly, gov't (B92)

The Serb List (Srpska Lista) has announced that its representatives have frozen their participation in the work of the Kosovo Assembly and in the government.

A statement signed by the head of the ticket's parliamentary group, and president of the Serb List, Slavko Simic, also said that Mirjana Jevtic will leave the Kosovo Ministry of Local Self-Government.

Simic: Serbian List will continue to oppose Trepca law (Koha)

Slavko Simic, head of the Serbian List parliamentary group, said in his address at the Kosovo Assembly today that Serb MPs will continue to oppose the law on the Trepca mining complex. “The Serbian List will continue to oppose this law because it was done without consultations with Serbs. Serbian List returns to the Assembly (Koha)

The Serbian List has returned to the Kosovo Assembly following a period of boycotting the institutions.
