Thousands attend memorial march in Belgrade for Kosovo Serb opposition leader Ivanovic (N1, FoNet, TV Most)

Thousands of people gathered in central Belgrade on Wednesday evening for what organizers said is a memorial march on the anniversary of the murder of Kosovo Serb opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic.

Dacic: Putin does not bring any spectacular solution for Kosovo (Prva TV, B92)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic told Prva TV that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not bring any spectacular solution for Kosovo.

“The Russian leadership, since the very beginning, absolutely supported Serbia’s position and we update them regularly. Therefore, there would be no spectacular ideas, however support to Serbia will be evident,” Dacic said.

He noted that are much misinformation related to the final agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, including media reports that Washington and Pristina prepare some sort of new Rambouillet.

Belgrade and Pristina delegations "almost came to blows"(Tanjug, B92, Kurir)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has revealed that a fight almost broke out during one of the meetings between Belgrade and Pristina delegations in Brussels. Dacic, who is also first deputy PM in the Serbian Government, specified that those involved were himself and the-then Kosovo Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci.

Dacic made this statement after President Aleksandar Vucic said that Kuci on one occasion "jumped at Dacic during a meeting between Belgrade and Pristina delegations," and that he "had to come to his aid."

Stefanovic: We have indications who is murderer of Oliver Ivanovic (Prva TV, B92)

Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic told Prva TV that Pristina took over responsibility, whether the murderers of Oliver Ivanovic would be found.

However, Belgrade, despite of Pristina’s behavior that is refusing any sort of cooperation, has certain indications as to who the murderer is, there are information “about moves of certain individuals from Kosovo and Metohija, as well as about departure to one western state.”

Fatherland Movement: Belgrade had to do more to find killers of Oliver Ivanovic (KIM Radio)

Fatherland Movement from Mitrovica North said in a press statement that Belgrade authorities had to do more over the last year in order to find organizers and those who have killed Oliver Ivanovic, KIM Radio reported.

The Movement recalled that in addition to Oliver Ivanovic, killers of Dimitrije Janicijevic, Oliver’s godfather who was killed on the same day five years ago, and killers of Ivica Rajcic and Milos Scepanovic remain unknown.

One year since murder of Oliver Ivanovic (Tanjug, BETA, B92)

Leader of Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice Oliver Ivanovic was murdered on this day, one year ago in front of his party premises in Mitrovica North, Serbian media report.

Organizers of the murder and his assassins have not been found yet. The results of the investigation were not published, although official Belgrade promised to deliver the first information two weeks after the murder.

Kosovo prosecutor confirms photographs of Oliver Ivanovic are authentic (TV N1, KoSSev)

The photographs of Oliver Ivanovic’s body on the pavement outside his party offices are authentic and were taken minutes after the assassination, Kosovo Special Prosecutor Sul Hoxha told N1 on Tuesday.

Initial reports after the January 2018 assassination said that the security cameras on the building, where Ivanovic’s party office was located, were not operating at the time but Hoxha said that the images were taken from video recorded a minute or two later.

A mural of the murdered Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic has been painted on a wall in Belgrade, not far from the city’s main police station, TV N1 reports.

An unidentified artist painted a portrait of Ivanovic and wrote inscription “You Can’t Live in an Atmosphere of Fear”.

The mural was painted just prior to the first anniversary of the murder of Ivanovic. He was gunned down in front of his party offices in Mitrovica North on 16 January 2018.

A protest gathering has been scheduled to take place tomorrow in central Belgrade to mark the anniversary.
