Kossev portal on last week's robberies in Serb-majority areas

The past week has been marked with a string of robberies targeting residents of Serb-majority villages all over Kosovo. In majority of cases, livestock were stolen, but break-ins and car theft have also been reported. Residents of five Serb-majority areas have been targeted in eight cases of robbery over the past week: Plemetina, Novo Brdo, Kamenica, Partes and Babin Most.

Bosce village: Cows belonging to Serb families stolen (RTV Puls, KoSSev, RTK 2)

Unknown perpetrators stole last night two cows belonging to Sveta Stojanovic and Miodrag Stojkovic families in the village of Bosce, near Kamenica, Serbian media reported.

Thieves attempted to steal 5 more cows belonging to Ranko Stojanovic and Bojan Joksimovic but they failed, RTV Puls reported, adding these cows were found by village inhabitants, in the village area, blindfolded and tied, presumably to be transported later.

Protest in Novo Brdo over frequent thefts (KIM Radio)

More than 100 inhabitants of Novo Brdo, from Serbian, Albanian and Roma communities protested today in front of the police station in Bostane village due to frequent thefts in this area, KIM Radio reported.

There were six stealing cases of larger cattle this year and no one was held responsible. Police failed to find and prosecute perpetrators of thefts committed in earlier years as well.

Local priest from Bostane village, Stevo Mitric noted that all communities, Serbs, Albanians, Roma are affected by frequent thefts.

Kozarev at the OSCE conference on ethnically motivated attacks on Serbs (RTS)

In the statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dusan Kozarev, said at the OSCE Human Dimension Conference in Warsaw that Serbs in Kosovo have been exposed to ethnically-motivated attacks in the past year about 50 times. Kozarev estimates that this is largely due to the failure Pristina to fulfil its obligations in terms of establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Kljajic: The performance in Kosovo, journalists as collateral damage (FoNet, N1, Danas)

During the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo, journalists passed the worst, as three press teams from Serbia were the target of the attacks, that is, the incidents, writes Belgrade based daily Danas and quotes the statement by Deutsche Welle (DW) journalist, Sanja Kljajic, who said that it all seemed like journalists were accounted for in advance as collateral damage.

Sava Janjic: We contacted international officials in Pristina because of Arnaud Gouillon (NMagazin, Beta)

Abbott of Visoki Decani monastery Sava Janjic denounced the ban on entering Kosovo to French humanitarian Arnaud Gouillon and said that the conduct of the Kosovo police was "scandalous”, reports portal NMagazin.

Janjic wrote on his Twitter account that the Diocese had contacted international officials in Pristina due to the event.

"Today, from the Diocese, we contacted international officials in Pristina on this occasion because Arnaud is a French citizen and EU citizen," Janjic wrote.

French-Serbian humanitarian prevented from entering Kosovo (B92)

French-Serbian humanitarian Arno Gujon (Arnaud Gouillon) has told B92.net that he was banned from entering Kosovo and Metohija on Monday.

And this ban without any explanation and any time limit, Gouillon added.
Media reports said earlier in the day that members of the Kosovo police had stated that according to their view, Gouillon "had no permit to visit" the self-proclaimed state.

Kosovo police at Merdare crossing retained Arnaud Gouillon (Blic, RTS)

The Kosovo Police at the Merdare administrative point retained Arnaud Gouillon, the French humanitarian, reports Belgrade based daily Blic quoting Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

According to the RTS, besides him, the police detained two activists from the humanitarian organization "Serbs for Serbs".

KP members, while retaining Gouillon, have stated that he did not have a permit to visit Kosovo.

Blic: Kosovo police detained Mayor Nis and released him the following morning

According to the Belgrade-based daily Blic, the Mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatovic, was allegedly taken to the Clinical Center Nis after he complained of injuries that he sustained during his visit to Kosovo. As Blic unofficially discovers, Bulatovic received a hand injury during an intervention by the Kosovo police when he was detained Saturday night.
