EU on US involvement in Kosovo dialogue: "We work closely" (B92)

We are working very closely with the United States in the Western Balkans, Maja Kocijancic, a spokeswoman for the European Union, told b92.net on Tuesday.

According to her, this also applies to "the question of (Belgrade-Pristina) dialogue on the normalization of relations."

Pacolli in France, seeks help on visa liberalisation (RTK)

Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli met today in Quai d’Orsay with France’s Minister for European Affairs at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Nathalie Loiseau.

Pacolli requested increase of presence of French economy in mines, energy and especially agriculture section. “I have personally encouraged arrival of a big company such as Candia, for production of dairy products,” Minister Pacolli said.

Pacolli: No information on withdrawal of recognition by Suriname (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s Principal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, said that diplomatic representations have not received any official information on withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo by Suriname. He however did not exclude this possibility.

“So far, we do not have any sign that this state has withdrawn its recognition, which is very much possible, but we and our diplomatic representations have not received anything,” Pacolli told Telegrafi.

Pacolli also reconfirmed the commitment of Kosovo institutions to dialogue for normalization of relations with Serbia but added that it was important for the process to have a timeframe.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said late on Thursday that the claim Pristina has enough votes to join UNESCO was "a big lie."

"In all the meetings the president and I have had here, this subject was also discussed," said Dacic, who is in New York as part of the Serbian delegation, led by Aleksandar Vucic, taking part in the UN General Assembly.

Pacolli to visit Montenegro next week (Klan Kosova)

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, met in New York Montenegro’s Foreign Minister, Srdjan Darmanovic. In a Facebook post, Pacolli said the two diplomats reconfirmed excellent relations between Kosovo and Montenegro and discussed issues of joint interest. “I will set on an official visit to Podgorica next week,” Pacolli wrote.

Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, said the statement of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) leader, Behgjet Pacolli, that he gave LDK and Vetevendosje ten days to come up with concrete proposals to overcome the current institutional deadlock or he would leave the LAA coalition is not an ultimatum but simply a proposal aimed at ensuring speedy formation of new institutions. “I am convinced Behgjet Pacolli will remain true to the agreement”, Mustafa said.

Vetevendosje movement’s nominee for Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met Tuesday morning with the leader of the Alliance for New Kosovo (AKR), Behxhet Pacolli.

Lajmi.net has learned from its sources that the meeting took place at Swiss Hotel in Pristina. Media reported about another meeting between these two leaders on Monday. These meetings come after the 11 June elections, where none of the Albanian parties gained majority of votes to establish the government.
