Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says he supports the dialogue with Pristina and is hoping for a compromise solution.

But Vucic, speaking for Sputnik in Davos, added that he did not have much hope that this would happen by the end of 2018.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic says that it is not realistic to expect a compromise solution in the internal dialogue on Kosovo, and that a referendum on this issue might be a good solution.

- It is not realistic to expect that a compromise solution is reached in the course of the internal dialogue on Kosovo, given the diametrically opposite attitudes prevailing in the society, so a referendum might be a good solution - Ljajic told the Belgrade based daily Danas.

Serbian leader from Kosovo and professor of the Medical Faculty in northern Mitrovica, Dr. Rada Trajkovic, told FoNet news agency that she "highly respects" the statement of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about the extent of support she has in Kosovo among Serbs, noting that such statements were given and about the support Oliver Ivanovic had, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.

Professor and expert for the Balkans Daniel Serwer, in an interview with the Belgrade weekly NIN, says that Vucic threatens with Russia and loses the direction in normalizing relations with Kosovo, as well as that it seems to him that the President of Serbia chooses the wrong chair.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic believes that in early spring, and in the context of internal dialogue on Kosovo, would be able to start a more serious debate, reports RTK 2 quoting Belgrade based agency Tanjug.

Vucic in Lebane, responding to journalists' questions, points out that the issue of Kosovo is very important and that it is important that people speak the truth in the internal dialogue.

Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti writes that, according to their knowledge, the most important points of future relations between Serbia and Russia have been clarified.

Serbian Defense Minister, Aleksandar Vulin says that Moscow's readiness to engage in Belgrade's dialogue with Pristina - if the format changes - changes everything.

According to Vulin "this actually means the return of the United Nations to the negotiations".

Vulin also said that Serbia was "under great pressure from Albanians who are trying to impose the United States as participants in the dialogue".

The Trepca mining and metallurgical complex in Kosovo is this Thursday marking its 90th anniversary.

And the head of state, Aleksandar Vucic, said that Serbia would fight for that company "uncompromisingly."
