Thaci promises new Kosovo government will abolish tariffs (Vecernje Novosti)

Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti claims that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci ''publicly promised in New York'' that the new government, once it is formed after the elections, will abolish 100% tariffs on goods from central Serbia.

''As Novosti unofficially finds out, Thaci said this on Sunday at a traditional informal dinner organised for the leaders of the Western Balkans by Federica Mogherini, on the margins of the session of the UN General Assembly,'' writes the daily.

Serbian FM Dacic: Pristina has no place in Helsinki (RTS, Tanjug)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic believes that EU Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, by inviting Pristina to attend Helsinki meeting, where EU candidate countries are invited, is trying to create a presidency that Belgrade should accept, but which, he adds, certainly won't happen.

Political agreement in the Western Balkans should be rewarded, the European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn said on Monday and called on the bloc’s foreign ministers to start accession talks with North Macedonia, the FoNet news agency reported.

EU High Representative Federica Mogherini says in Brussels that yesterday's events show that the status quo between Serbia and Kosovo is not sustainable, reports portal B92, quoting Beta news agency.
