Opposition demands resignation and accountability of Prime Minister Brnabic (Danas)

Based on Constitution of Serbia and its laws, the statement Ana Brnabic made to German daily “Velt” that Kosovo was Serbia and if Serbia would continue insisting Kosovo belongs to it a compromise would have not been possible, equals to an act of a high-treason, in particular if it is a Prime Minister of a country making such a statement, opposition Dveri Movement MP Branislav Mihajlovic said, Danas daily reported.

FER monitors Serbian President initiative on internal dialogue on Kosovo (KoSSev portal)

The period from June initiative of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to launch an internal dialogue on Kosovo until the organization of the first roundtable on 31 October 2017, was marked with two tendencies: frozen conflict and delineation, KoSSev portal reported today.

Serbian opposition leaders invited to Brussels (Novosti, Tanjug, B92)

Leaders of the opposition DS party and the PSG movement, Dragan Sutanovac and Sasa Jankovic should travel to Brussels on August 24, Vecernje Novosti reported today.

The two opposition leaders will go there for a meeting with the European Parliament official and rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister.

According to the daily, apart from Jankovic and Sutanovac, another four opposition leaders - Boris Tadic, Cedomir Jovanovic, Sasa Radulovic and Vuk Jeremic - have all been invited to a joint meeting with McCalister.

Vucic’s call for nationwide dialogue on Kosovo issue – debate is ongoing (Blic, Novosti, KIM Radio)

Serbian media are still extensively reporting on the call made by the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to initiate a nationwide dialogue on the Kosovo issue.

Yesterday Serbian opposition parties, as reported by Danas daily, expressed different stances on the matter ranging from clear opposition to the dialogue to the possibility of giving it a chance.

Novosti daily reported today that the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts are ready to get involved in the dialogue.
