President Aleksandar Vucic says he had a working lunch with the representatives of the EU and thanked member states for their support to Serbia's European road.
Vucic met in Belgrade on Tuesday with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives of EU member states.
As he said, the meeting lasted more than two hours, and concerned "what Serbia must do when it comes to its European path."
Russian President Vladimir Putin will certainly bring a message that will encourage all Serbs in Kosovo, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic told state news agency Tanjug.
He says Putin will certainly say that Kosovo, for Russia is an inseparable part of Serbia and will continue to support UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Regional broadcaster N1 reports that “Patriotic forces” supported by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) are planning to bring more than 70,000 people to the plateau in front of the St Sava Temple in Belgrade to greet Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 17, quoting Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.
Serbian Assembly Committee on Kosovo and Metohija chair Milovan Drecun has assessed that the creation of Greater Albania is an irreversible process.
Drecun also told Belgrade based TV Pink that this will be created "in one form or the other" and that this is being done in order to create a counterpoint to Serbia - a territory that could, with its size, resources and population be able to compete with Serbia.
Opposition People's Party leader Vuk Jeremic says that the position of the Serbian authorities towards Russia is "insincere and hypocritical."
He argued that Russia supports Serbia, but not the current authorities.
Jeremic told the srbin.info website that Russian President Vladimir Putin "does not trust Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic because of his relations with the West."
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that the US is ready to organise a signing ceremony between Belgrade and Pristina and to invite other countries to the ceremony. He added that the US National Security Adviser John Bolton had talked about it with the Rusian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"It’s important for the US that Russia agrees and takes part in it. The great powers must be the guarantee of this agreement because the UN Security Council must adopt it," Dacic told Politika daily.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic will together visit St. Sava's Temple in Belgrade, Vecernje Novosti is reporting.

May God keep you safe and let Russia be as big and strong as possible,“ the opposition movement ‘Otadzbina’ (Fatherland) from Kosovo wrote in a new, open letter to Vladimir Putin in connection with the proposal for the ethnic separation of Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo – for which they claim that it is represented by the Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to make a visit to Serbia in January 2019, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday, TASS reported.
"Preparations for the president's visit to Serbia are underway, the visit is planned for January," Peskov said.
The Russian agency noted in its report that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said earlier that he expected Putin in Belgrade on January 17.
Foreign Minister and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic says no armed formations of Albanians can enter northern Kosovo without the consent of KFOR.
Dacic added, speaking on Monday, that this agreement that had been reached with NATO should be translated into a directive that everyone in the field should respect - "in order to avoid a situation that would trigger major problems in Kosovo and Metohija."
