Belgrade accepts the entry of Pristina in international organizations? (Danas)

Continuation of political negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina was announced for 25 August and talks could be completed by signing four new agreements, claim the EU sources. As stated, the prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa should sign agreements on energy, telecommunications, Community/ Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) and the document related to the principle of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina (it is still unknown whether it will be second Brussels agreement).

Stojanovic: No serious dialogue in Pristina about ZSO (RTK2)

In case Pristina do not agree to the proposed text on the Community / Association of the Serb municipalities (ZSO), on the next round of Brussels talks, the representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo institutions could consider the option of “freezing” participation in the Assembly and Government. Minister of Local Government Administration Ljubomir Maric said that such a move would be logical, because representatives of the Serbian List will not participate in the Government which doesn’t want to form ZSO (which was the main reason for joining the Kosovo government).

The long awaited technical negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina about the Association /Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo and Metohija should begin in Brussels today, with the discussions on the draft of the ZSO. In Belgrade's negotiating team, led by head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric will be, among others, the mayor of Gracanica, Vladeta Kostic, while Pristina's negotiators should be led by a minister without portfolio Edita Tahiri.

Wilhelm: Agreement on ZSO needed (Tanjug, RTV)

German Ambassador to Serbia, Heinz Wilhelm said that Germany has no new conditions for the opening of chapters in Serbia's EU accession negotiations, but added that more needs to be done on the implementation of the Brussels agreement. The Brussels agreement is crucial for the opening of Chapter 35 and that Germany insists on opening of this chapter among first, Wilhelm said for Radio and Television of Vojvodina. We believe that Chapter 35 on Kosovo needs to be one of the first chapters to be opened together with chapters 21 and 23.
