How to resolve the issue of property of Serbian companies in Kosovo (RTS)

Belgrade expects the issues of Kosovo and other property on 9 February before the negotiators in Brussels. "Trepca" not the topic, Pristina says.

Government of Serbia would gladly see "Trepca" on the negotiating table in Brussels on February 9, when the prime ministers would meet for the first time, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa.

Prime Minister Vucic said that Serbia managed to fight for the correct interpretation of the international community over "Trepca" and that Pristina wants to finish everything on the property issue before opening of the topic in Brussels.

Trepca amongst the richest world ore resources (RTS)

The Trepca company used to be the economic giant, not only in than Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) but in the entire Balkans. Company used to produce 70 per cent of mineral raw materials in than Yugoslavia and used to employ around 20.000 workers. Even though only one fifth of that figure is employed today, it still fells in the category of the richest ore-mineral raw material resources, not only in Europe but in the entire world.

Joksimovic: Political chapters to be opened first (RTS,Tanjug)

BELGRADE - The political chapters- 23, 24 and 35, should be the first to be opened this year in the EU integration process, Serbian Minister without Portfolio responsible for EU integration Jadranka Joksimovic said on Tuesday.

In a live broadcast on Radio-Television of Serbia, Joksimovic said that the year behind us was marked by the reforms and major efforts aimed at creating a successful and modern state.

“We are not putting reforms in place so that we break records in chapter opening, but rather to set a new record in reforms, if possible,” Joksimovic said.

Ballots for elections in Gracanica (RTS)

The Central Election Commission determined the order of candidates on the ballots for early elections for mayor of Gracanica. Citizens' Initiative Srpska is under number 24, and its candidate for mayor is also the president of the GI "Srpska", Vladeta Kostic. Progressive Democratic Party will have the number 21, the Democratic League of Kosovo number 22 and the People's Movement of Kosovo number 23. 

EU praises Serbia for reforms, no timeframe for new chapter (RTS, Tanjug)

BELGRADE - In the conclusions that are to be adopted at next week's meeting of the Council of Ministers, the EU praises Serbia for the reforms implemented, but does not set a timeframe for the opening of the first negotiation chapter, the RTS has reported.

According to a draft document seen by the RTS, the Council of Ministers welcomes the progress that Serbia has achieved this year in reforming its judiciary and administration as well as in fighting corruption and implementing ambitious economic reforms.
