Scott and Stefanovic about ZSO and Brussels agreement (Tanjug, RTS)

USA Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott thinks that question whether ZSO should be established in line with the Brussels agreement or Kosovo laws is contradictory, as according to him, Brussels agreement also says that what would be approved must be in line with Kosovo and Serbia’s laws, RTS reported.

USA supports steps made in the direction of establishing the ZSO, Scott said, adding he expects difficult negotiations, but thinks that recent happenings related to the ZSO are a step forward.

"Arrest warrants for Thaci, others back in Interpol system" (B92, Tanjug)

Arrest warrants (notices) for about 20 Kosovo Albanians issued by Serbian courts have been returned to the Interpol system.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic announced this on Thursday, replying to reporters' questions about the visit of Serbian Police Director Vladimir Rebic to the Interpol HQ in Lyon, France.

Stefanovic said the Serbian delegation had "serious discussions" there on Wednesday, and insisted on the warrants in question to be reinstated.

Radojevic with Assistant UN Secretary General on security in Kosovo (RTV Puls)

Outgoing Kosovo Deputy Interior Minister, Milan Radojevic met yesterday with Assistant UN Secretary General, Alexander Zuev from the Russian Federation, Serbian media reported.

Radojevic informed Zuev about security challenges in Kosovo in particular those affecting the Serb community, starting from usurped properties, attacks against returnees to problems in obtaining Kosovo documents and physical security.

Djuric receives "friendly and brotherly support" in Moscow (B92)

Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric met in Moscow on Wednesday with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko.

Djuric briefed Grushko on the situation in Kosovo and efforts to find a compromise in the dialogue with Pristina in a peaceful manner, saying afterwards that he received "friendly and brotherly support for Serbia's independent domestic and foreign policy, as well as regarding Kosovo and all other matters significant for our country."

Rebic: Kosovo has no place in Interpol (Fonet, N1, Kontakt plus radio)

Director of Serbian Police, Vladimir Rebic met yesterday with Interpol President Meng Hongwei and Secretary General Jurgen Stock, and emphasized during the talks that Serbia insists on its territorial integrity and that membership of Kosovo in this organization would neither be in interest of Serbia nor Interpol, Serbian media reported.

Greece won't recognize Kosovo, Athens office not diplomatic (B92)

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said in Belgrade on Wednesday that his country will not recognize Kosovo.

Kotzias explained that the trade office of Kosovo in Athnes will not be a diplomatic office.

"That's neither been agreed, nor envisaged," he told a joint news conference with Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic.

Serb properties in Kosovo destroyed and taken over, perpetrators remain unpunished (RTS)

Serbian national broadcaster, RTS continues its serial “Pravo na sutra” focusing on usurped Serb properties in Kosovo, featuring some of the cases.

According to RTS, more than a million of land plots in Kosovo and Metohija are usurped. There are assessments saying that more than 35.000 residential units were destroyed. While displaced Serbs from Kosovo wait to repossess their properties, they are being further destroyed and falsely sold.

Maliqi: West does not support ZSO to be “state within a state” (Danas)

Agreement on Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities did not stipulate creation of a third level of executive power, respectively Serb autonomy, which would create situation in Kosovo similar to that in Bosnia, Pristina-based analyst Shkelzen Maliqi told Danas daily.

According to him, Supreme Court critically analyzed earlier prepared ZSO concept to prevent turning of ZSO into an ethnically based “state within a state,” adding that the EU and USA do not support such ambitions of official Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs.
