Radojević: Security situation in Kosovo only seemingly stable (RTS)

Both politics and economy and lately sports and entertainment, whatever the topic in Kosovo and Metohija is security is an indispensable part of the story, outgoing Kosovo Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Milan Radojevic told RTS. He added security situation on the ground is different from what is stated in the official reports.

Speaking for RTS morning news edition Radojevic said the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija only appears to be stable and that the intensified rhetoric is the biggest challenge.

Radojevic: No official information about investigation of Marko Djuric’s arrest (Tanjug, TV Most)

One year after the arrest of Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric in Mitrovica North there is no yet official information about the investigation of his arrest, Kosovo Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Milan Radojevic said, adding it is an important test for Pristina institutions that would show whether they are functional or not, TV Most reported.

Radojevic sent a request to Pristina police to launch an investigation and determine the responsibility of individuals over the way Marko Djuric was transferred to Pristina.

Kosovo Police Inspectorate has launched an official investigation in order to determine criminal responsibility of police officers who took part in arrest of Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric, Serbian media reported.

Outgoing Kosovo Deputy Interior Minister told Radio kontakt plus he has forwarded a request through official channel to the Police Inspectorate.

According to Radojevic, Police Inspectorate started taking statements and gathering evidence, while Mitrovica Prosecution Office is responsible for the investigation.

Outgoing Kosovo Deputy Interior Minister, Milan Radojevic met yesterday with Assistant UN Secretary General, Alexander Zuev from the Russian Federation, Serbian media reported.

Radojevic informed Zuev about security challenges in Kosovo in particular those affecting the Serb community, starting from usurped properties, attacks against returnees to problems in obtaining Kosovo documents and physical security.

Radojevic told the radio that Kosovo Police is ready to cooperate with everyone in the region, including the Serbian Ministry of Interior, and reminds that there are no official contacts between these two ministries, but that this will most probably be done in accordance with the Brussels Agreement.

Kosovo authorities recently adopted an administrative instruction simplifying procedures to get Kosovo documents, as it was impossible, without documents, to exercise some of the fundamental human rights in Kosovo such as right to a pension, right to receive social support and so on.
