Rakic: International community to react to Haradinaj's threats (KiM radio)

North Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakić says on the occasion of the latest threats of Ramush Haradinaj that it is not in the interest of the Albanian people also to be represented by those who advocate hatred and violence and called on the international community to respond to threats of Albanian leaders, which do not contribute to the stability of Kosovo.

Vucic responds to Haradinaj's threats: "I know who you are" (B92)

Prime Minister and President-elect Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday reacted to Ramush Haradinaj's latest threats to say that he "knows very well who Haradinaj is."

The Kosovo Albanian politician and former KLA leader, wanted by Belgrade on war crimes charges, earlier advised Vucic not to "mess" with him or "play with Albanians."

Hoxhaj: recognition by the five EU countries makes Kosovo stronger (Koha)

Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, continued his second day of his visit to Brussels with meetings at the European Parliament.

At the meeting with the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Hoxhaj spoke about recognition of Kosovo by the five EU member states which have not recognized the independence of Kosovo yet.

“The five remaining countries should recognize Kosovo. This strengthens not only Kosovo but also the EU,” Hoxhaj said.

Braathu: Dialogue, part of the regional stabilization process (Klan Kosova)

Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Jan Braathu, said that the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade which is being held in Brussels is part of the regional stabilization process. Therefore, he said, it is communication which resolves the daily problems of the citizens is necessary.

Braathu assessed the statements for unification of Albanians as a message to the European Union and added that is required to accelerate the process of integration in the union’s zone.

Baarthu said that the Brussels dialogue is much more discussions between Pristina and Belgrade.

Lunacek: EU has to put pressure on Serbia to withdraw obsolete arrest warrants (Gazeta Metro)

The European Parliament Vice-President and  rapporteur for Kosovo, Urlike Lunacek, hailed the decision of the Colmar Court not to extradite Ramush Haradinaj to Serbia. "I am very pleased that the French judiciary today rejected the extradition of the former Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, to Serbia, and that he was released with immediate effect.

Opposition to object demarcation “by force” (RFE)

Representatives of the opposition political parties have threatened that they would use “all means” to prevent ratification of the agreement for the border demarcation with Montenegro. These statements came after the meeting between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa with the European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos, who appealed to Kosovo government and political parties to proceed with voting at the Assembly as soon as possible.

Thaci: Serbia’s Russian MIGs are threat for EU, not my statements (Lajmi.net)

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, responded today to the criticism of the EU officials who consider Thaci’s statement on national unification, a threat for the EU. He said that Serbian nationalism is a threat to the EU and not his statements.

“Serbian nationalism is a threat to the EU. It is Belgrade that is working on destabilization of the region and on installing of powerful Russian impact in Serbia, starting from military bases to Russian MIGs,” Thaci said.

Delawie: U.S. against imprudent discussions for unification (RFE)

The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, assessed the statements for the possibility of unification of Kosovo with Albania, as “imprudent”.

“The U.S. Government supports the sovereignty of Kosovo and Albania. We are against imprudent discussions for unification and exaggerated reactions towards such statements, which mine sustainability in the region," Delawie said.

EU requests implementation of the constitutional decision on Decan/Decani land (Klan Kosova)

The European Union has expressed concern with regards to continued lack of implementation of the 20 May 2016 Constitutional Court ruling on the land dispute case in Decan/Decane. “Decisions by Kosovo's highest legal authority are conclusive and must be implemented. The EU calls on authorities at all levels to demonstrate respect for the rule of law as a fundamental democratic principle. Full implementation of the ruling should take place without delay,” notes a press release issued by the EU Office in Kosovo.

EU to Rama: Political interruptions breach neighborly relations (Lajmi)

The European Union has reacted to the statements of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, saying that political interference breaches good neighborly relations.

The Spokesperson of the European Commission, Maja Kociajancic, said that the region of Western Balkans has a clear European perspective, as confirmed recently by the European Council.
