Serbian Government sets up working group to open Pristina-Belgrade airline (Beta)

The Serbian government has set up a working group to deal with the normalization of civilian air traffic over Kosovo, including the reestablishment of a direct flight between Belgrade and Pristina, the Ministry of Defense reported on Feb. 13. The working group will also focus on the recovery of a radar position in Kopaonik, to create conditions for safe air traffic management over Kosovo, the ministry said in a press release. The working group is headed by Minister of Defense Zoran Djordjevic, and will include representatives of all relevant institutions.

Stoltenberg: To reduce tensions and avoid conflicts in the Balkan (Kossev)

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, pointed out, in an interview with Beta news agency, the necessity to reduce the current tensions in the Western Balkan, in order to avoid incidents and clashes, and pointed out that NATO "realizes its part in the construction of the security with regional partners”.

Political analyst from Pristina Behlul Beqaj estimates the inclusion of Presidents Hashim Thaci and Tomislav Nikolić in Brussels dialogue as the failure of the process.

- Continuation of the talks in this format will lead to degradation of Kosovo, while Serbia will be the winner in international relations - Beqaj told Beta agency, adding that the resumption of dialogue can lead to the unilateral formation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO).

Serbian gov’t annuls all legal consequences of Pristina’s acts (media)

The Serbian government on Tuesday decided to annul all the legal consequences of acts and actions by the interim self-government institutions in Pristina regarding the factual and legal position of the Trepca mining complex, PM Aleksandar Vucic said.

“We were compelled to make such a decision as we want Trepca to continue to operate,” he told a press conference.

Trepca is vital for the survival of nothern Kosovo-Metohija, Vucic noted.

Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin says it is "increasingly clear" the EU is lacks the strength to secure the implementation of Kosovo dialogue agreements.
