Velika Hoca : Memorial to Serb victims desecrated (B92, RTS, Tanjug, TV Most, KIM radio)

A memorial raised to honor the Serbs kidnapped and murdered in the Orahovac municipality was desecrated. The cross installed on it was smashed.

Serbian public broadcaster RTS is reporting on Thursday that the incident happened in Velika Hoca.

As reported, a flagpole with the flag of the Republic of Serbia has also been removed from the site.

The case has been reported to the police, and the team was sent to the field.

Italian PM: Pristina should drop taxes and enable dialogue (B92, Tanjug)

Pristina should withdraw taxes (on goods from central Serbia) and enable dialogue with Belgrade to continue. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said this in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Conte was asked by Tanjug how Italy looks at the Pristina's current policy, "which is not ready for any concessions, constructiveness towards Belgrade, or toward the international community," and replied:

"The provisional Pristina institutions PM saying that the so-called 'Kosovo Army' could enter the north of Kosovo is a threat to the entire region's peace," stated Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin.

He told the public broadcaster, RTS, that the Serbian Army was "confident, strong and capable of preserving peace and stability throughout the country."

Serbia’s Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic warned the Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, not to even think of using force against Serbs in Kosovo, because Serbia will know how to respond.

Commenting on Haradinaj’s statement that "Kosovo’s army would be deployed to the north if the border is threatened," Stefanovic said that this clearly shows how nervous Haradinaj is.

Vucic: We're capable of intervening - but that was nothing (B92, Tanjug)

Our forces are disproportionately strong in relation to the need to prevent any possibility of anyone carrying out any attack or action against Serbia.

President Aleksandar Vucic said this on Thursday, while touring the Jablanica District.

"They are so much superior and convincing in every sense, professionally and in numbers," he stressed, adding that there were "more than enough of them" on the administrative line (with Kosovo), that they could intervene "at any moment."

Aleksandar Vucic, reacting threats from Pristina, said that "Medvedja and Sijarinska Banja" which he will visit during on Thursday, "will remain Serbia."

During his visit, the president also used the opportunity to, as he did in Vlasotince, urge citizens not to worry about the threats from Pristina.

Aleksandar Vucic continued on Thursday his "Future of Serbia" campaign in the Jablanica District, where he first visited a reconstructed elementary school.

The president, addressing a gathering, stated that the leadership in Pristina is irrational and irresponsible and that "you never know what can be expected of them."

Ana Brnabic says Pristina authorities' statements about Kosovo getting three municipalities in central Serbia have nothing to do with reality and sense.

The Serbian prime minister on Wednesday recommended them to try to get back into reality and to understand the rules of behaviour in the 21st century.

The Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia confirmed to news agency Tanjug that the instructors of that service were detained on Sunday evening in Kosovo.

Tanjug was told earlier by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija that eight members of the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) were detained while returning from Brezovica, after they conducted a three-day training on rescue from the avalanche in the municipality of Strpce on the Sara mountain.
