Hahn meets Thaçi, calls for shared commitment of all parties towards EU integration (Klan Kosova)

EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn met President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci at the sidelines of the Western Balkans leaders summit in Sofia and called for "strong, shared commitment of all political actors in Pristina to make next steps on Kosovo's EU path." "Progress in dialogue with Serbia is key," Hahn tweeted.

President Thaci to also address Kosovo MPs (Koha Ditore)

Following his address to the members of the Kosovo Security Force yesterday, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci’s office was asked to comment on why he did not address Kosovo MPs as required by the Constitution of Kosovo. The answer stressed that Thaci is waiting for the Kosovo Assembly presidency to set the date for such an annual event and that the President is under no circumstance ignoring constitutional duty towards the Kosovo Assembly.

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, met today the UK’s Minister of Armed Force, Mark Lancaster, and thanked him for his country's continuous support to Kosovo in its efforts to join international organisations and increase the number of recognitions. Thaci also spoke about the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and its transformation into armed forces.  Minister Lancaster, who previously served in Kosovo as part of KFOR peacekeeping troops, said he was impressed with progress in Kosovo.

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci said Ratko Mladic’s conviction for genocide is important to ensure justice for the victims.

“We think of Srebrenica today. We must also ensure the perpetrators of deeds and promoters of genocidal ideology will continue to pay for the evil they unleashed from Belgrade. Never forget,” Thaci wrote on his Twitter account.

Thaci meets NATO Secretary General (RTK)

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, met in Canada with the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

They discussed the security situation in the region. Thaci informed Secretary General Stoltenberg about the campaign initiated by Kosovo institutions to involve the non-majority communities in the Kosovo Security Force. He also said that NATO role on guaranteeing peace in the region is irreplaceable.

Igor Simic: Instead of responding, Thaci attacks the Serbian list (KIM radio)

The decision of the Serbian List to freeze relations with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is absurd, destructive and ordered from Belgrade, according to Thaci's Cabinet, Radio Free Europe (RFE) reports.

The Serbian list has decided to freeze every communication with the president of Kosovo, because it has determined that his policy, as far as the position of the Serbs in Kosovo is concerned, is "anti-constitutional, unlawful and at the expense of the Serbian people."

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that the outgoing KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo, is a proven friend of Kosovo and the region. “Time when Fungo served was very important for the country. We are grateful to all the soldiers serving with KFOR. KFOR preserves and builds peace,” Thaci said today during the COMKFOR change of command ceremony.  Thaci said the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) is a multiethnic and professional force thanks to KFOR and NATO. “KSF is now ready to take on new competencies and a new mission,” Thaci noted.

Srpska Lista to freeze communication with Hashim Thaci (RTS)

RTS reports Srpska Lista sent a letter to the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, saying that his politics, in the segments related to the position of Serbs in Kosovo, is anti-constitutional, anti-legal and to the detriment of the Serb population.

Therefore, as Srpska Lista announced they would freeze any form of communication with Hashim Thaci. The List also protests because Hashim Thaci, who signed the Brussels agreement, did nothing to establish the Community of the Serb Municipalities in line with the signed agreement, RTS reported.
