Vucic and Poroshenko about Serbia's sovereignty in Kosovo (RTS)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic arrived in Eskişehir (Turkey) where he met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko immediately after his arrival with whom he discussed bilateral relations and economic cooperation, reports radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Vucic and Poroshenko discussed bilateral relations and economic cooperation, and the Ukrainian president said that his country respects the territorial integrity of Serbia and has asked Vucic to appeal politicians in Serbia not to conduct an anti-Ukrainian campaign.

A possible meeting between Kosovo’s and Serbia’s presidents under the European Union’s auspices by June 25 could help Belgrade open new chapters in its accession talks with Brussels, a daily reported on Friday.

President Aleksandar Vucic said in Sofia, Bulgaria late on Wednesday that he received "no US plan for solving the situation with Kosovo," Beta is reporting.

Vucic at the same time reportedly said he did receive "indications and principles."

He is quoted as saying there were "decent things" in those - but also "solutions he does not agree with."

“I’m obsessed with Kosovo,” Serbian President Aleksnadar Vucic told the Financial Times adding that everything he has done to date depends on a solution to the Kosovo problem.

 “Without resolving that problem everything I have achieved so far won’t be sustainable. The first crisis will kill us,” he said.

Kosovo remains the major "hurdle" blocking Serbia's path to European Union membership, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Monday, urging concessions from Pristina.

"The only big problem that I see as a real obstacle in our European path is the Kosovo issue," Vucic, an ultra-nationalist turned pro-European, told AFP in an interview.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that he asked his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for help in solving the Kosovo problem in international organizations.

“No solution can be found in the United Nations without Russia’s approval and in that sense Russia will very actively monitor our talks and everything that could happen and will react on time,” he told reporters in Moscow, adding Moscow will not be directly involved in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue under European Union auspices.
