Verbal conflicts between Srpska Lista and the SLS escalate into a physical confrontation (KoSSev)

A physical altercation occurred yesterday in a restaurant in Pristina between the leader of the Independent Liberal Party, Slobodan Petrovic and a member of Serbian List (SL), Milan Kostic. The SLS and SL made contradictory allegations of who attacked whom, but also of who gave a statement and who was detained by the Kosovo Police.

15 hectares of forest and orchards burned in Kamenica (RTV Pul, KoSSev)

More than 15 hectares of orchards and forest were burned in
the vicinity of the village of Berivojce, near Kamenica on Monday evening, RTV
Puls reported. The fire broke out on Sunday afternoon, causing the most damage
to the property of Zoran Simic from Berivojce. More than 400 plum and cherry
trees belonging to Simic were destroyed. It is estimated that direct damage,
counting only the loss of the destroyed fruit, amounts to €10,000, while the
costs of rebuilding fruit production will be several times higher.

The Serbian University in North Mitrovica classified as a Kosovan institution by the draft of the Kosovo Law on Higher Education (KoSSev)

The draft of the Kosovo Law on Higher Education classifies the University of North Mitrovica as a public Kosovo institution of higher education. The votes of at least four deputies representing the Serb community in the Kosovo Assembly are required in order for this law to be adopted. This draft, which was proposed in November of last year, was discussed in early March in the assembly education committee in Pristina, in which Srpska Lista MP, Verica Ceranic is also a member.

Over a hundred walnut tree saplings stolen in the village of Saljinovice near Osojane (KoSSev, Radio Gorazdevac)

Radio Gorazdevac reported that more than a hundred walnut saplings were stolen from the Dabetic family from the village of Saljinovice near Osojane. The estimated value of the stolen goods is slightly above 1,300 EUR.

Danijel Dabetic told Radio Gorazdevac that he went to the field around 9 am and noticed that about a hundred walnut tree saplings were missing. The stolen saplings were planted far from the home of the Dabetic family.

Novo Brdo: The fifth theft of cattle in less than fifteen days (RTV Puls, KoSSev)

Unknown perpetrators stole a cow and a calf from the Savic family from the Izvor village in the municipality of Novo Brdo on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

The damage is estimated at approximately 2.000 EUR. Two cows were taken from the same family five years ago. The perpetrators have still not been found.

Third anti-government protest in northern Kosovo (N1, KoSSev)

For the third time, about a hundred of Kosovo Serbs gathered in the divided town of Mitrovica for #1in5million protests and walked to the place where their opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic was riddled with bullets on January 16, 2018, the portal KoSSev reported.

They were joined for the first time by activists of the Popular “Fatherland” Movement and members of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS) opposition group.

Milan Radoicic elected president of the “FA Kosovo and Metohija” (KoSSev)

The former president of FC Trepca and Srpska Lista Vice-President, Milan Radoicic was elected president of the ''FA Kosovo and Metohija'' today during a constituent session of this association.

All thirty members of the ''FA Kosovo and Metohija'' who were present during the session voted in favour of electing Radoicic as their new president, the FC Trepca statement reads.

Dacic: Kosovo issue can be resolved by Serbia and Albania (Kossev)

''From the aspect of international law, an agreement between Serbia and Albania would be cleaner than the recognition of Pristina’s unilateral decisions,” Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic stated yesterday, adding that these two countries can solve the Kosovo issue with ''compromise and in a mutually acceptable way.''
