Today the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) assessed that continuation of the Brussels dialogue represents the continuation of the progressive handing over of Kosovo and Metohija, along with the continued humiliation of Serbia for the sake of negotiations over EU membership.
EU representatives will try to convince Belgrade officials to accept the decision of the Kosovo Constitutional Court on Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities today in Brussels, learned Blic. Today’s meeting, mediated by the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, will be attended by the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
“Establishment of visa liberalization between EU and Kosovo is in the interest of Serbia. It would ensure that Kosovo citizens in possession of Serbian passports would not be discriminated against and differentiated from other Serbian people,” said Serbian government sources to Danas.
Pristina will continue dialogue with Belgrade, but it is not known for now when and at what level, said Kosovo's deputy minister for local government.
The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic says that Serbia is ready to continue dialogue with the Pristina authorities but that he is not optimistic because Kosovo officials are not willing to fulfil what has been agreed so far.
- I'm not very optimistic, although we will give all of ourselves ... I am not optimistic because in Pristina are not ready to meet what is the basis of the Brussels agreement - Community of Serbian municipalities - Vucic said at a press conference held in the villa "Bokeljka".
“Announcements made by the Serbian Prime Minister about continuation of negotiations on 27 January, who buy the way says that negotiations will be difficult, clearly shows that Aleksandar Vucic is ready to make new concessions to Pristina aimed at building independent Kosovo,” stated Patriotic Block from Kosovo and Metohija.
