EULEX experts and staff of the Department of Forensic Medicine in Kosovo yesterday went to the field in the village Piskota, near Djakovica, to verify the information on suspicion of existence of a mass grave of Serbian civilians at the site, received from the War Crimes Prosecution of Serbia.

EULEX Spokeswoman, Dragana Nikolic Solomon, in an interview with Radio Free Europe (RFE) was unable to give a comment as the investigation is on-going.

According to reports from Klan Kosova, President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has been invited by the European Commission to take part in an event organized in Belgrade.

President Jahjaga’s spokesperson, Arber Vllahiu, confirmed the news saying that the possibility of Jahjaga travelling to Serbia is being considered but he added that there is yet no official decision. Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, and Albania’s Edi Rama have also been invited to take part in the forum.

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric today will visit kindergarten in Zubin Potok, which was built by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

The newly constructed kindergarten is located next to the old one and will be able to accommodate 60 children; it was announced by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

Djuric will also visit the water system in the construction in Gazivode near Zubin Potok, which will supply the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Mitrovica with drinking water.

Belgrade to initial no agreements with Pristina which would directly or indirectly mean the recognition of the independence of Kosovo and Metohija, nor such requests come from Brussels – it was said to Vecernje Novosti in the Government of Serbia.

This is the response of the Serbian officials to the statement of Self-Determination official Visar Imery, whose party is likely to be part of the new government in Pristina, that "dialogue with Belgrade will not be continued unless Serbia does not recognize Kosovo's independence."

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that Serbia and Kosovo cannot sign intergovernmental agreements, as reported by the Pristina press, because Belgrade and Pristina do not talk as two countries, but rather as the central government and a province.

Djuric said that, however, it is very important to continue the negotiations and reach a political agreement on normalization.

NEW YORK - Serbia welcomes the adoption of the resolution on foreign fighters and it is ready to step up the cooperation with all countries in the region and the wider community in the fight against terrorism, Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said in New York on Wednesday.

Dacic attended a meeting of the UN Security Council chaired by U.S. President Barack Obama.

NEW YORK - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York on Wednesday.

According to the readout of the meeting, Ban and Nikolic exchanged views on Serbia's EU integration process, the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the cooperation between the United Nations and Serbia, including Serbia's role in UN-mandated peacekeeping missions, as well as the country's upcoming OSCE Chairmanship.
