Mustafa doesn’t view Pacolli’s statement as ultimatum (RTK)

Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, said the statement of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) leader, Behgjet Pacolli, that he gave LDK and Vetevendosje ten days to come up with concrete proposals to overcome the current institutional deadlock or he would leave the LAA coalition is not an ultimatum but simply a proposal aimed at ensuring speedy formation of new institutions. “I am convinced Behgjet Pacolli will remain true to the agreement”, Mustafa said.

Pence: Kosovo to join NATO (Zeri/RTK)

The U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said that his country want to see Kosovo part of NATO. Kosovo will very soon join NATO. He said the U.S. will be engaged in eliminating all obstacles for Kosovo becoming full-fledged member of the Adriatic Charter and NATO. “The U.S. continues to support dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for normalization of relations and good neighbourhood”, Pence said in Podgorica where he is attending the U.S.-Adriatic Charter summit.

Kosovo’s Interpol bid: Interior Minister Hyseni travels to New York (RTK)

Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, is in New York to lobby for Kosovo’s membership to Interpol. Hyseni is expected meet a number of permanent representatives from UN member states. Yesterday, Hyseni met representatives from Uruguay, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Senegal and he is reported to have received support for Kosovo’s Interpol membership.

Krasniqi: Government of Kosovo will not be voted on Thursday (RTK)

Deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, said today that the PAN coalition has sufficient votes to constitute the new Assembly and the government but added that the second will not be formed this Thursday, 3 August. “I don’t believe the government will be voted on Thursday”, Krasniqi said.

 

Osmani: We do not vote Veseli and Haradinaj (RTK)

Kosovo Assembly MP from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Vjosa Osmani expressed her conviction that MPs from the LAA coalition will not vote Kadri Veseli for Assembly Presidemt or Ramush Haradinaj for Prime Minister of Kosovo.

She also added that statements from the PAN coalition that they have the sufficient votes to create the government, are not true.

 Serbian List has not decided how to vote for Assembly President (RTK)

Elected MP from the Serbian List, Sasa Milosavlevic said that his party does not yet have an official position on the new Assembly President or on the Prime Minister of Kosovo that would come from PAN coalition.

Milosavlevic said that they expect to discuss with different parties and present their conditions that they would expect to eventually be accepted by partners. He said that it is natural that the Serbian List would consult Belgrade.

Hoti: LAA coalition considering Thaci’s meeting invitation (RTK)

Candidate for prime minister from the LDK-AKR-Alternativa coalition (LAA), Avdullah Hoti, said the coalition representatives agreed on future actions.  “Citizens of Kosovo had their saying and I don’t believe there is a need to lose any more time for creating leading institutions and calling [Assembly’s] constitutive session as soon as possible”, Hoti said after the meeting of coalition partners. Asked by the media on whether they would attend the meeting called by President Hashim Thaci, Hoti said: “We are considering whether to go or not.

LAA coalition meets (RTK)

Leaders and majority of elected MPs from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the New Kosovo (AKR) and Alternativa, gathered today, a day after the meeting of PDK, AAK and NISMA coalition known as PAN.

The leader of the Alliance for New Kosovo, Behxhet Pacolli, said after the meeting that his party will respect the agreement reached with LAA coalition and they will stick to it.

Roma and Egyptians want Haradinaj for Prime Minister (Klan Kosova)

Representatives of Roma and Egyptian communities at the Assembly of Kosovo stated openly that they would vote Ramush Haradinaj for the Prime Minister of Kosovo.

On the other hand, representatives of the Serbian List as well as those of other communities, have not made such announcement.
