Delawie: We want to ensure that Serbs can see their future in Kosovo (KoSSev portal)

I want to say how important it is to my country, my Embassy, that Kosovo Serbs feel at home in Kosovo. We spend a lot of time and effort trying to improve the lives of regular people and we know their challenges, said U.S. Ambassador Greg Delawie during his visit paid to North Mitrovica, KoSSev portal reported.

KFOR Commander: All are involved in solving Ivanovic case (Tanjug, RTS)

KFOR Commander Major General Salvatore Couci said that the murder of Oliver Ivanovic is under investigation, there is a full cooperation with EULEX and all are involved in resolving the case, Serbian media reported.

General Couci in an interview to RTK assessed the situation in Kosovo as calm and stable and that they work a lot with the Kosovo police responsible to keep the situation under control.

The Serbian List dissatisfied over "the immoderate" statements of the head of German diplomacy (Serbian media)

The Serbian List last night expressed dissatisfaction over the immoderate statements made by the head of German diplomacy. They say that they believe that such a wrong assessment of the situation could only come out of the fact that the hosts misinformed the guest, without presenting to him the political and security situation in the right light, Serbian media reports.

Fatherland: It is lie Serbs have returned to Kosovo during Vucic’s time, they are massively departing (KoSSev portal)

During his visit to Moscow, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic while talking to the Russian journalists “said the number of untruths” and “two are noticeable” an opposition Fatherland (Otadzbina) Movement said, KoSSev portal reported.

Kosovo's northern courts provide basic services, including urgent trials, as well as admission of new cases, and provision of other services is expected soon - the Kosovo Judicial Council announced, reports KIM radio.

On its official website, the Council published an "announcement for media on the judiciary in the Mitrovica region", while informing citizens that, in line with the Brussels Agreement, "the structures of the judiciary of Kosovo function and in this region", the announcement states, from October.

An interview with Nikola Kabasic, the president of the newly integrated Basic Court in Mitrovica, about the challenges of consolidating Kosovo’s justice system.

The Basic Court in Mitrovica — which integrates the north and the south of the town — started work on November 1, 2017. Nikola Kabasic, the president of this court, was among the Serb judges who were sworn in by the Kosovo President on October 24 as part of the Brussels-facilitated dialogue agreement to get rid of Serbia’s parallel institutions and unify the legal system throughout Kosovo.

Youth participation in decision-making important for positive changes in society (Kontakt plus radio)

The youth organization “Sinergija” implements a new project “Youth as human rights advocates” with the support of the UN Mission in Kosovo, Kontakt plus radio reported.

The programme director, Jovana Stojanovic told the radio, the project would last 6 months and would include educative workshops where young people would deal with human rights, gender equality, prevention of violence and young people as role models.

According to Stojanovic, the third phase would include campaigns and study visits, including also theater performances.
