Slavko Simić: We have achieved the main political goal (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio)

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić said yesterday in North Mitrovica that the party achieved the main political goal in the elections held Sunday.  According to the last data, Serbian List won 9 out of 10 seats reserved for Serbs, reported KIM radio.

Ivanović: Serb influence smaller (N1, KIM radio)

Leader of the CI SDP Oliver Ivanović said that the influence of the Serbs would be even lesser after the elections in Kosovo. He added that he was not sure that there were individuals in the Serbian List with credibility sufficient for playing a serious role.
-The credibility of individuals required for a serious and active role for the Serbs has to be such that they are acknowledged by foreigners and Albanians, as well as the Serb community. Do we have people like that on the List? I am not so sure, said Ivanović to the regional TV station N1.

Kurti and Pacolli meet (Lajmi.net)

Vetevendosje movement’s nominee for Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met Tuesday morning with the leader of the Alliance for New Kosovo (AKR), Behxhet Pacolli.

Lajmi.net has learned from its sources that the meeting took place at Swiss Hotel in Pristina. Media reported about another meeting between these two leaders on Monday. These meetings come after the 11 June elections, where none of the Albanian parties gained majority of votes to establish the government.

Lengthy coalition talks ahead for Kosovo, could delay reforms (Reuters)

Kosovo could be heading towards lengthy talks on forming a coalition government, delaying economic reforms, official preliminary results showed on Monday.

Early elections were held on Sunday after the PDK-led government of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, accused by the opposition of failing to meet pledges to improve the lives of young people, lost a no-confidence vote,

Petrović: SLS has at least one mandate (KIM radio)

President of Independent Liberal Party (SLS) Slobodan Petrović told KIM radio that his party has at least one MP, and added that he was not satisfied with the results.

-We have expected a much better result; however, if we take into account the fact that the campaign and the Election Day were unlike anything before, I think, even this result presents a great result for the Independent Liberal Party (SLS).

Elections in Kosovo - the coalition "PAN" 34.6 per cent, the Serbian List the fourth force (RTS)

According to preliminary results of Kosovo's Central Elections Commission, a sample of 91 per cent of processed votes, the coalition gathered around Ramush Haradinaj won 34.6 per cent of the vote in the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo.

With 35,252 votes, counted so far, the Serbian List takes the fourth place among the parties, said RTS correspondent from Kosovo.

Albania hails Kosovo election (Koha)

Albanian Foreign Ministry hailed Sunday’s parliamentary elections in Kosovo as an “expression of free will in a fair and competitive process”. In a statement, the foreign ministry expressed trust that new Kosovo institutions would be formed soon “in line with the expressed will and the country’s constitution in order to address priorities, needs and challenges of development, including acceleration of the Euro-Atlantic process”.

Conditional and mailed votes to be counted today (Telegrafi)

The Counts and Results Centre (CRC) announced that conditional and mailed ballots will be counted in the course of today, said coordinator Burim Ahmetaj. He said that the Central Election Commission (CEC) has counted the votes from all polling stations but that not all the material has reached the Counts and Results Centre. “We are still waiting for material from Pristina and Gjakova”, Ahmetaj said.
