Đurić: Gračanica is the oasis of Serb existence in Kosovo (RTS)

The people who survive in this area represent one of the pillars of the Serbian existence in Kosovo and today's holiday is a good opportunity to send the message to the entire Serbian people that Serbia without Kosovo has no meaning, said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić in Gračanica.

Marić: No double teams for drafting the Statute of the ZSO (Blic, RTS)

Minister for Local Self-Government in Kosovo Ljubomir Marić says that there are no double teams for drafting the Statute of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities as well as there is no reason that could hinder its work, and that there is only one management team.

He adds that political will is important for the operations of the management team.

Odalović: If Biden's message was understood in Pristina, ZSO will be formed soon (media)

President of the Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalović says that the ZSO will be formed soon, if Biden's message was taken seriously in Pristina.

When asked when he expects establishment of the ZSO, Odalović said to the RTS "how Pristina works, this will last."

He says that the ZSO constitutes a "bone in the throat" to Pristina and "many others who have introduced Belgrade into a dialogue with the promise that ZSO will be formed."

The Security Council shall decide on the mandate of UNMIK (RTS, RTV, Politika, Blic, Kontakt plus)

The UN mission in Kosovo rejects the allegations of the Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj, that UNMIK is not desirable in Kosovo and that its mandate was extended because of Russia, which opposes the change of resolution 1244 of the Security Council of the United Nations.

UNMIK spokesman Jan Malekzade told the TV channel Tribuna that no country alone can decide on the mandate of UNMIK and its activities and that it is the decision of the Security Council.

Kosovo needs a unit for inter-ethnic incidents (TV Most, RTS)

The Kosovo Government should establish special investigative units within the police to deal with ethnically motivated attacks in Kosovo, assessed the research conducted by the Non-Governmental Organizations Centre for Peace and Tolerance and Aktiv.

One could have a similar structure as a unit for the preservation of Serbian cultural heritage, it is suggested in the analysis "Potential ethnically motivated incidents in Kosovo - ugly Story Never Told", that was presented yesterday in Pristina.

Drecun: The truth about extremism in Kosovo is ignored (RTS)

Former Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said that the article published in New York Times talks about the influence of Saudi Arabia on the Islamists and Wahhabism, adding that funding the jihadists should be prevented. "This article presents a factual situation, but it is also the truth that the media were silent after I presented a document about the network of radical Islam that was backed up by Saudi Arabia, in 2007", says Drecun.

Dačić: Status-neutral engagement of the Council of Europe in Kosovo (RTS)

At a meeting in Sofia, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić said that for Serbia the only acceptable engagement of the Council of Europe in Kosovo was the status-neutral, with respect of the UN Security Council resolution 1244.

Dačić said, addressing the participants of 126th ministerial meeting of the Council of Europe in Sofia that he expected the Council of Europe would continue to adhere to its consistent principled stance.

What hinders the formation of Community/Association of Serb municipalities (RTS)

The formation of the Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) has not started, even nearly nine months after the agreement.  The elections and different interpretations of the Brussels agreement are the reasons for this delay. The international community, these days, intensively urges both Belgrade and Pristina to continue with the implementation, because the continuation of European integration will depend on it.

Maric: Membership of Kosovo in UEFA and FIFA is political decision (RTS)

Minister for Local Government Administration in Kosovo, Ljubomir Maric, told RTS that after violations of the UEFA Statute and admission of Kosovo into this organization, it was expected that the next step was its admission to FIFA. In regards to the statement of Isa Mustafa that the format of the talks will be reconsidered, Maric said that such statements indicate a problem of Kosovo authorities, which is the implementation of the agreements of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
