Vjosa Osmani: "Little Schengen", big mistake (Blic, KTV)

LDK candidate for Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani called the idea of the Balkan "mini-Schengen", agreed Thursday by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, "a big mistake."

- I think it's an accident that something like that happened. I do not know if Prime Minister Rama consulted with anyone in Kosovo before reaching such an agreement, however, it is a total mistake - Osmani told Pristina based KTV's Rubicon show.

As he said, she will visit Serbia in 2020, prior to expiration of her term of office.

The president said that there's no doubt that Europe wants a solution to the Kosovo problem and that Germany would insist on it.

He made these remarks responding to a journalist’s question if former KLA member, arrested in North Macedonia on international arrest warrant would be extradited to Serbia, and to comment on Zaev’s statement the international laws would be respected, as well as that Morina is Kosovo citizen.

Vulin: Skopje is new "hub for attacks against Vucic and Serbia" (Vecernje Novosti, B92)

Skopje has replaced Budapest as the center of intelligence work against Serbia, Defense Minister Alekdsandar Vulin has told the daily Vecernje Novosti.

According to Vulin, the capital of Macedonia has become a place where funding and support is provided for "snitches and crooks" from all over the region, for politicians who believe cooperating with foreigners is the only way they can come to power.

Vulin in this way commented on a meeting between Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and leader of the opposition Alliance for Serbia Dragan Djilas, which took place in Skopje.

Macedonia wants positive solution for Kosovo, Zaev tells N1 (TV N1)

Macedonia’s stand is that we want to see a positive solution reached by Belgrade and Pristina which would bring lasting peace, development and progress towards the European Union, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told N1 on Wednesday.

“We don’t know what they are talking about, we just listen. I went through a difficult process of negotiations with Greece. It’s not easy for President Aleksandar Vucic, nor for President Hashim Thaci. I encourage them to find a solution,” he said.

Greek and Macedonian PMs nominated for Nobel Peace Prize (B92)

Nobel Peace Prize Winner for 2015, Wided Bouchamaoui has officially nominated Greek and Macedonian prime ministers for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

According to the Greek City Times, Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev are in the running for his prestigious award thanks to the signing of the Prespa Agreement.

The agreement, signed in June 2018, renames the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (whose constitutional name was "the Republic of Macedonia)") into "the Republic of North Macedonia."

Serbia is preparing measures in case Skopje supports Pristina in international institutions, writes today Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti, as well as that there is the possibility of changing the decision on recognizing the name of the neighbouring state if its Prime Minister Zoran Zaev fulfils "threats" on voting for Kosovo's membership in UNESCO.

Haradinaj convinced visit of FYROM PM will deepen bilateral relations (RTK/Klan Kosova)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said in a Facebook post that he was looking forward to the visit of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev, to Kosovo. He said Zaev’s visit is a sign of good will and will contribute to deepening of bilateral relations. “As Prime Minister of the country, I will duly represent the people and the state of Kosovo in building sustainable relations,” Haradinaj wrote. Zaev is expected to visit Kosovo on Tuesday, 12 December.
