“Tomorrow would be exactly four months since the murder of the leader of Civic Initiative “Freedom, Democracy, Justice” (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanović in Mitrovica North, and there is no progress in the investigation,” official of CI SDP Ksenija Bozovic told BETA news agency.

“We are disappointed and embittered, although from the day one we have claimed that the killer will never be found” Bozovic said, expressing dissatisfaction because the investigation, as she said, was increasingly being diluted.

A regular UN Security Council session on Kosovo will be held on Monday in New York. Serbia is represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic.

The session will discuss the UN secretary-general's report on the work of the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, covering the period from January 17 to April 15.

Percentage of cases in the northern police station, in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017, is slowly declining, percentage of issued traffic violation tickets is on rise, while percentage of resolved criminal acts is also higher, said Commander of the North Mitrovica Police Station, Major Djordje Karamarkovic.

Milena, wife of late Oliver Ivanovic, told Belgrade-based Vecernje Novosti daily that she would give a statement to the prosecution, investigating her husband’s murder. Earlier Oliver’s brother and party colleagues also gave statements to the prosecution.

“I want to find out whether they are working seriously or they want everything to be hidden,” she said.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said investigations that it is in the interest of Kosovo for the murder of Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic to be solved. "Investigations are intensive, no piste has been ruled out," Haradinaj said adding however that the case may prove to be impossible to be solved even with investigations by Serbian authorities.

"Anyone who our security services assesses to be able to have certain knowledge or to participate in the demolition of our constitutional order, security conditions, is called for an interview, that person has not been arrested, none of them have been arrested," said Stefanovic. He talked to Ljubica Gojgic, on RTV's latest show "Pravi ugao", revealing that the Serbian information agency has called on people for an informative interrogation.

Belgrade-based portal Insajder journalist Senka Vlatkovic-Odavic said in “Slobodno srpski” broadcast journalists should more actively deal with the case of Oliver Ivanovic murder, KIM Radio reported.

She thinks Ivanovic’s murder is political and no one should remain silent, and this should be the topic of high interests for the journalists.

Acting Deputy Assistant US State Secretary Matthew Palmer says that America expects that Belgrade and Pristina, despite problems, continue their dialogue and he hopes for a normalization of relations by the end of the year.

Palmer told the Voice of America in Serbian language that America does not "put special pressure on Belgrade" in the direction of normalizing relations, that is, they make it on all participants in the negotiation process.

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) issued a press release reminding the public that today is three months since the assassination of their leader, Oliver Ivanovic, and the investigation has not yielded any results yet, Serbian media reported.

GI SDP said they have been asking on a daily basis responsible authorities “who killed Oliver Ivanovic, but there is no answer, and there are no suspects or detainees”.

Although more than a month passed since the Kosovo Special Prosecution took over the investigation of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder, the prosecution still does not have suspects, KIM Radio reports.

Chairperson of the Special Prosecution, Ekrem Lutfiu told Pristina-based media that they have interviewed a number of witnesses.

“We have interviewed a significant number of people, but they all are witnesses. We are still in a phase of gathering evidence, and we still do not have suspects for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic,” Lutfiu said, KIM Radio reported.
