Haradinaj: Dissolution of parliament is the only solution (RTK)

Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), walked out of the meeting of political leaders called by Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga and attended by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and Principal Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. Haradinaj told reporters that he had requested the dissolution of the Parliament and new parliamentary elections. Haradinaj also said that another request of the opposition bloc is for the President of Kosovo to be elected directly by the people.

The front page of the paper says that new elections in Kosovo are unavoidable because “all the other alternatives to overcome the political crisis, created since the establishment of an insatiable government of elephants, and later the signing of the anti-constitutional agreements, have been exhausted.”  Kosova Sot further notes that based on the Constitution, the power to dissolve the Assembly and announce the date for new elections belongs to the President.

Djuric: Isa Mustafa is lying (Klan Kosova)

The Director for Kosovo at the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric, told Serbian media that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa is misinterpreting the result of the most recent round of talks between Pristina and Belgrade, especially regarding the statute of the Association/Community for Serb-majority Municipalities.

Vetevendosje objects to PM Mustafa travelling to Brussels (Telegrafi)

Vetevendosje Movement has criticized the decision of the Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa to travel to Brussels for a meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic as part of the EU-facilitated dialogue. Vetevendosje’s Glauk Konjufca said in a press conference that that Mustafa and Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci have taken decisions that seriously undermine the state of Kosovo.  Konjufca said Mustafa’s decision to go to Brussels despite originally saying he would not is a sign he is not a serious leader and that he has deceived the people of Kosovo.

“The country cannot be held hostage by two people and their whims,” the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj said in an interview for Gazeta Fjala.

According to Haradinaj, they have violated the Constitution and should therefore pave the way for Kosovo to become a country governed by the rule of law, and create a favourable environment for the reduction of unemployment by activating major economical projects.

Mustafa gathers MPs, requests guarantees for Thaci’s election (Gazeta Blic)

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has called the MPs from his party to meet tomorrow at 13:00 p.m. Sources within the party told Gazeta Blic that Mustafa will request them to vote Hashim Thaci for President of Kosovo. He will ask them to at least be present at the Assembly to establish the required quorum for voting Thaci for President,” said this source. Several MPs from LDK announced that they will prevent Hashim Thaci from being elected.

Serbia rejects changes of the Agreement on association (Lajmi.net)

The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Marko Djuric, stated that Belgrade would not accept any alternative other than full implementation of the agreements signed in Brussels with the government of Pristina. This official stressed that Serbia is determined to pursue this issue until resolved and added that changes of the draft would not be accepted.
