Serb arrested in Jarinje (KiM Radio)

Male of Serb origin was arrested at the crossing point of Jarinje, Kosovo police said, KIM Radio reported.

The police report said Kosovo Serb was arrested on Wednesday, around 20.00 hrs, based on the order of the Basic Court in Mitrovica and was sent to the detention centre.

A Serb woman, M.T. displaced from Istok, was arrested at the same crossing point last week, under the charges that she has committed a war crime. She was placed under house arrest in the Pec Patriarchate Monstery, KIM Radio reported.

 

 

 

 

Rasic: There is hope for us (KIM Radio)

“I think we have managed to get to the people and convince them there is a hope for us, there is a perspective to remain here, because these people are the most important,” said Nenad Rasic, leader of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDS), KIM Radio reported.

The PDS would conclude its election campaign today. The party did not have a candidate for a mayor in Gracanica, but only for the municipal assembly. The campaign was led calmly and with direct talks to the citizens.

PKS: Identity of Marko Jablanovic stolen (KIM Radio)

Party of Kosovo Serbs (PKS) said today in a response to accusations that Marko Jablanovic was involved in attacks against Srpska Lista activists, that someone had misused falsified identity card of Marko Jablanovic and presented it for identification, KIM Radio reported.

In its press statement, PKS addressed the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, saying that he has intention to bitterly divide Serbs in Kosovo and make the handover of the province “as easy as possible and as painless as possible for the Government in Belgrade,” KIM Radio reported.

Delawie and Todosijevic on elections, ZSO and minorities (KIM Radio)

USA Ambassador in Pristina, Greg Delawie and Minister of Administration and Local Self- Governance, Ivan Todosijevic spoke yesterday about the situation of non-majority communities in Kosovo and implementation of the Brussels agreement, KIM Radio reported.

The two officials also spoke about the forthcoming Kosovo local elections. Todosijevic highlighted the importance of establishing the Association of the Serb Municipalities, and implantation of agreements that are not yet fully implemented.

Jevtic with German Ambassador on return (KIM Radio)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic met yesterday with the German Ambassador in Kosovo, Christian Heldt and informed him about the issues Serb returnees are facing, including unemployment, arrests and usurped properties, KIM Radio reported.

Suvi Do/Suhodoll: The search of remains of missing persons in Suvi Do launched (Kim Radio, Kossev)

KIM radio and portal KoSSev reported that in the village of Suvi Do/Suhodoll in North Mitrovica started yesterday the search of the remains of missing persons during the Kosovo conflict.

The media reported that so far excavations have been carried out three times in that location and that the remains of 105 bodies have been found, which have been identified and handed over to their relatives.

The Serbian Association not invited to a meeting with Haradinaj on the issue of the missing (KiM radio)

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj will meet today with representatives of the government's Missing Persons Commission and organizations that are dealing with the issue of missing persons in Kosovo.

Representatives of the Serbian Association of Families of the Abducted and Missing Persons are not invited to this meeting.

Reaction of Kozarev to Hoxhaj statement on humanitarian aid of Russian NGO (Blic, KIM radio, TV Most, Kossev)

Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dušan Kozarev today said that that the announced activities in Kosovo by the NGO Russian Humanitarian Mission  only can be criticized by those who do not have the grain of humanity and human rights feelings, reported daily newspapers Blic.

Minister Rikalo with the representative of the World Bank (KIM radio)

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Nenad Rikalo met with the Director of the World Bank Office in Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli, with whom he discussed the current processes in the development of agriculture, as well as the goals of the ministry in order to further strengthen this sector.

As announced by the Ministry, Rikalo thanked the World Bank for its support to the agricultural sector that given concrete and significant results.
